MOTIVE OF WORLD TOURISM DAY:-
The main objective of world tourism day is to spread awareness among the international community on the importance of tourism in order to strengthen social, cultural and economic values. On this World Tourism Day the Secretary General of UNWTO said that- “whenever you travel, wherever you travel just remember to respect nature your culture and your host”
Do you know when and who started World Tourism Day-
During 1979, the general assembly of United Nation World Tourism Organization(UNWTO) decided to establish World Tourism Day on every 27 September and from 1980 they started to celebrate World Tourism Day. In 1970, 27 September was chosen by UNWTO to adopt Statutes which is considered as a milestone in Global Tourism.
Do you know last year 1.2 million travellers crossed International Border and by 2030 it will become 2.8 billion.
TOURISM IN INDIA:-
In India every tourist is treated as a GUEST AS GOD- “ATITHI DEVO BHAVA” similarly we Indians visit to other countries we carry with us the values of our Indian Culture. People from all over the world come to discover the beauty of INCREDIBLE INDIA.

Tourism in India generates approx. 14.02 Lakh Crore every year and adds 9.6% GDP with equally supporting 40 million Jobs.
Let us also work for tourism of our INCREDIBLE INDIA and leave our mark on the world with “travel, enjoy & respect” all over it.

I was not aware that this day exists, however, I love traveling. There are times I want to hit the beach and want to make watersports. But on the other hand there are times where I want to visit places and learn about culture and history
