The preparations reportedly included the team’s own chef and 13 pallets of bottled water transported from Hawaii. The 49ers chose to arrive around a week before kickoff so players could acclimatise. The Rams, meanwhile, reportedly planned a much later arrival as part of a different strategy designed to keep players closer to their usual United States sleep schedule.
