Which Pizza Pops Are Recalled? Pepperoni and Bacon Products Linked to E. coli Alert

Pepperoni and bacon varieties of Pillsbury Pizza Pops are being recalled in Canada after the Canadian Food Inspection Agency said several products may be affected by possible microbial contamination involving E. coli O26. The recall notice was issued in late December and applies to items distributed nationally.

The affected products include Pizza Pops Pepperoni and Bacon sold in 760-gram packages and 2.85-kilogram boxes with best-before dates of June 9 and June 10, 2026. Also included are Pizza Pops Supremo Extreme Pepperoni and Bacon sold in three-kilogram boxes with best-before dates ranging from June 10 to June 12, 2026.

The recall further covers Pizza Pops Frank’s RedHot Pepperoni and Bacon sold in 380-gram packages with a best-before date of June 14, 2026. Food safety officials said the products may be contaminated with E. coli O26, a strain of bacteria that can cause gastrointestinal illness.

In its recall notice, the agency warned that contaminated food may not show visible signs of spoilage such as changes in smell or appearance. The recall was announced as a precautionary measure while food safety authorities continue to review the issue.

General Mills said the recall is voluntary and confirmed that other Pillsbury Pizza Pops products are not affected. The company said it is working with regulators as part of the recall process.

Additional information about the recalled products and official recall listings is available through the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
