Drake has reached another defining point in his chart career, moving past Michael Jackson on the Billboard Hot 100 after “Janice STFU” became his 14th No. 1 single in the United States.

The new milestone makes Drake the solo male artist with the most No. 1 songs in Hot 100 history. Until now, he had been tied with Michael Jackson, whose 13 chart-toppers helped shape modern pop music across the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. Drake’s latest No. 1 now gives him sole possession of the record.

“Janice STFU” comes from Drake’s latest album Iceman, a project that has quickly turned into one of the biggest commercial moments of his recent career. According to The Toronto Star, the song earned more than 40.7 million official U.S. streams during the May 15–21 tracking week, along with 2.1 million radio airplay audience impressions and 3,000 sales.

The track also stands out because it interpolates Lykke Li’s “I Follow Rivers,” giving the single a familiar melodic pull while still fitting into Drake’s current sound. That mix of nostalgia, streaming momentum and fan attention helped push the song straight to the top of the Hot 100.

Drake used the fourth livestreamed episode of his Iceman rollout to premiere the music video for “Janice STFU.” The event became even bigger when he revealed two additional surprise albums, Habibti and Maid of Honour, expanding the release campaign far beyond a single project.

That strategy has translated into a massive Billboard takeover. A total of 42 songs from Iceman, Habibti and Maid of Honour appeared on the Hot 100 at the same time. Drake has also become the first artist to cross more than 400 career entries on the chart, a figure that underlines how consistently he has dominated the streaming era.

This week’s Hot 100 is heavily shaped by Drake’s latest releases. Nine of the top 10 songs belong to him, with country artist Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” standing as the only non-Drake track in that section of the chart after landing at No. 5.

The achievement follows another major Billboard record for the rapper. Drake also became the first artist to simultaneously hold the top three positions on the Billboard 200 albums chart, showing that his latest run is not limited to singles alone.
