How Lotto Max Is Played
Lotto Max draws take place every Tuesday and Friday across Canada. Sales close nationwide at 10:30 p.m. ET. A standard ticket costs $5 and includes three sets of seven numbers selected from numbers 1 to 50.
Players can choose their own numbers for the first selection and use Quick Pick for the remaining sets, or opt for Quick Pick on all three. You can also play up to 52 draws in advance at retail locations. The optional ENCORE add-on costs $1 per play.

Advance Play Update
Ontario Lottery and Gaming (OLG) has announced upcoming changes to Lotto Max beginning with sales on April 11, 2026. To ensure a clear separation between the current version and the new format, advance play purchases are being limited to draws remaining after the Draw Break on October 14, 2025, through April 10, 2026.
As of October 14, 2025, Lotto Max Advance Play options have been disabled on OLG’s Self-Serve Terminals until the new version launches. Players can still purchase advance entries online or at lottery terminals according to the updated roll-down schedule.
What Happens Next?
