Dairy Queen Adds Biscoff Cookie, Mochi and Abuelita Blizzards

Dairy Queen has rolled out a new lineup of limited-time frozen treats across participating U.S. restaurants, adding three globally inspired Blizzard flavors and a patriotic frozen drink to its summer menu. The seasonal promotion, which began on June 29, is designed to coincide with a busy travel and holiday season while giving customers fresh dessert options beyond the chain’s traditional candy-based Blizzards.

The latest collection reflects a broader trend across the restaurant industry, where limited-time menu launches have become an important way to encourage repeat visits during peak summer demand. Instead of relying only on classic cookie and candy mix-ins, Dairy Queen has introduced ingredients that have gained popularity in bakeries, cafés and international desserts over the past several years.

New Blizzard Lineup Brings Three Distinct Flavor Profiles

The seasonal Blizzard Cup lineup features three new desserts, each inspired by a different dessert tradition.

The Biscoff Cookie Blizzard blends crunchy caramelized Biscoff cookies into Dairy Queen’s signature vanilla soft serve. The cookie has become increasingly popular worldwide thanks to its distinctive spiced caramel flavor and its use in cheesecakes, milkshakes and other desserts.

The Strawberry Mango-flavored Mochi Blizzard combines mango-flavored mochi pieces with strawberry topping and soft serve. The addition of chewy mochi offers a different texture from traditional Blizzard ingredients and reflects the growing popularity of Japanese-inspired desserts in the United States.

The third option, Mexican-style Hot Chocolate made with Abuelita Blizzard, features Abuelita Mexican Hot Chocolate Mix, chocolate chunks, fudge-covered marshmallows and cocoa fudge blended throughout the soft serve. The flavor takes inspiration from traditional Mexican hot chocolate while delivering a richer chocolate dessert experience.

Limited-Time Stars & Stripes Misty Slush Float Returns for Holiday Week

Alongside the Blizzard launch, Dairy Queen is offering the Stars & Stripes Misty Slush Float for a limited time. The frozen drink layers Cherry Misty Slush, vanilla soft serve and Blue Raspberry Misty Slush before being topped with festive star-shaped sprinkles.

The drink is available in a small size for $2.50 at participating U.S. locations through July 5, making it one of the chain’s shortest seasonal promotions of the summer.

DQ Rewards Promotion Adds Extra Incentives

Dairy Queen is pairing the new menu launch with additional rewards through its DQ Rewards program. Eligible members can enter the DQ Go for the Globe Sweepstakes by purchasing the new Blizzard flavors through the DQ app during the promotional period.

Customers receive sweepstakes entries with qualifying purchases, while those who buy all three Blizzard Cup flavors earn bonus entries. The promotion runs through July 26, giving customers additional time to participate after the holiday weekend.

How This Fits Into Dairy Queen’s 2026 Summer Strategy

The new Blizzard lineup joins several seasonal desserts that Dairy Queen has already introduced this year, creating one of its largest rotating menus in recent summers. The company has increasingly focused on offering both returning favorites and completely new flavors rather than relying on a single seasonal release.

That approach gives customers more variety while allowing Dairy Queen to test ingredients that already have strong recognition outside the traditional ice cream category.

Earlier this year, the chain attracted significant customer interest during its Free Cone Day promotion, highlighting how limited-time events continue to play an important role in its seasonal marketing strategy.

Availability May Vary by Restaurant

All three Blizzard flavors are available for a limited time at participating Dairy Queen restaurants across the United States, although menu availability may differ by location. Individual restaurants can occasionally sell out of promotional ingredients during periods of high demand.

Customers ordering through the Dairy Queen mobile app may also find app-exclusive rewards and promotional offers tied to the seasonal menu. The Stars & Stripes Misty Slush Float remains available only through July 5, while the Blizzard Cup lineup will continue for a limited promotional period.

Complete menu details, participating locations and current promotions are available on the official Dairy Queen website.
