Palworld is moving into large-scale mobile multiplayer with Palworld Online, a new iOS and Android game scheduled for release in 2026. Garena will develop and publish the title under an official licence from Pocketpair, combining creature collecting and survival crafting with shared settlements, group exploration, PvE encounters and PvP competition.
This is not a direct conversion of the original Palworld. It is a separate MMO experience with a new narrative setting, mobile-specific controls and an online world designed for players to build and progress together.

A Palworld experience built around other players
Palworld Online will place players inside a seamless, interconnected world where they can encounter others, form groups and explore alongside their Pals.
The world will contain hidden treasure, lore clues and regions that become available through progression. Players can capture and raise Pals, search for rare creatures with friends and take on powerful open-world bosses.
Those looking for competitive play will have access to PvP activities, while PvE encounters will support cooperative groups. Garena has not revealed server capacity, maximum party sizes or how PvP matchmaking will work.
Your base becomes a shared settlement
Base building will operate as a social system rather than only an individual management task. Friends can create a shared home that functions as a centre for crafting, production, defence and everyday activity.
Players will be able to expand buildings and assign Pals to automate production or protect the settlement. Visiting other players’ bases will also be possible.
Important details remain unanswered, including whether settlements continue operating while members are offline, whether rival players can attack them and how ownership or building permissions will be divided.
The story will not simply repeat Palworld
Garena says Palworld Online will introduce an original narrative setting and new story elements. Exclusive side stories will expand its lore and give existing fans material created specifically for the mobile MMO.
No completely new map or Pal species has been confirmed. Garena has not released a creature list, identified returning characters or explained whether the new story connects directly to events in the original game.
How Garena is redesigning Palworld for phones
The interface is being developed for touchscreens, with optional one-tap actions intended to simplify base planning, building construction, structure relocation and Pal deployment.
Garena says the game is being optimised for a wide range of phone specifications without removing the depth associated with Palworld. Minimum device requirements, download size, controller support and performance targets are still unknown.
In the official Palworld Online announcement, Pocketpair CEO Takuro Mizobe pointed to Garena’s experience in global publishing, localisation and mobile live operations.

Why there are two Palworld mobile games
Palworld Online should not be confused with the separately named Palworld Mobile. Garena is developing Palworld Online as an MMO, while Krafton is responsible for the other licensed mobile adaptation.
Krafton previously demonstrated Palworld Mobile at G-STAR 2025 and conducted closed alpha testing in South Korea and Japan. The companies have not announced any connection, shared servers or transferable progress between the two projects.
The unanswered questions players should watch
Garena has not said whether Palworld Online will be free to play or sold as a premium game. Microtransactions, gacha mechanics, subscriptions, premium currency and battle passes have not been confirmed.
Cross-play, cross-progression, offline access, regional servers and transfers from the original Palworld are also unknown. Players should not assume that existing Pals, characters or purchases will carry into the MMO.
The announcement comes during a busy year for game releases and franchise expansions, following the 34 new games revealed at Summer Game Fest 2026. Pocketpair is also extending the franchise through Palworld: Palfarm and a trading card game, showing that Palworld is developing into a broader entertainment property rather than remaining a single survival title.
