Shoppers walk near a Primark storefront as the retailer opens new U.S. stores in Texas and Indiana.

Primark Opening 2 New U.S. Stores in July 2026: Texas and Indiana Locations Revealed

Primark is expanding its U.S. store network again in July 2026, with two new locations opening in Texas and Indiana ahead of the back-to-school shopping season. The value-fashion retailer will open a new store at Willowbrook Mall in Houston on July 16, followed by its first Indiana store at Castleton Square Mall in Indianapolis on July 23.

The openings give Primark a stronger foothold in two important retail markets. Houston adds another store to a state where the company is already growing quickly, while Indianapolis brings Primark into Indiana for the first time.

After both stores open, Primark will operate 44 stores in the United States, according to the retailer’s official announcement shared through Primark’s July 2026 store-opening release.

Primark July 2026 store openings

The first opening is scheduled for July 16, 2026, at Willowbrook Mall in Houston, Texas. This will be Primark’s seventh Texas store and its second location in the Greater Houston area.

The second opening is set for July 23, 2026, at Castleton Square Mall in Indianapolis, Indiana. That store marks Primark’s first location in Indiana, making it a notable step in the company’s Midwest expansion.

Both stores are expected to carry Primark’s full range of affordable clothing, accessories, beauty products and home essentials.

Why Houston is getting another Primark

Primark’s new Houston store shows the company sees continued demand in Texas. The state has become one of the retailer’s most active U.S. growth markets, supported by large metro areas, suburban malls and steady demand for value-focused shopping.

The Willowbrook Mall location also gives shoppers in northwest Houston a closer option for Primark’s low-price fashion and family basics. For parents preparing for the school year, that timing could be especially useful.

The Houston store will also feature merchandise tied to Texas sports teams, including the Houston Texans, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs.

Indianapolis brings Primark to Indiana for the first time

The Indianapolis opening is important because it introduces Primark to a new state. Castleton Square Mall gives the retailer a major regional shopping center where it can reach families, students and everyday mall shoppers.

For Indiana customers, the launch means they will no longer need to travel to another state to shop at a Primark store. It also gives the retailer a chance to test demand in a new Midwest market.

What shoppers can expect

Primark is known for value pricing across everyday fashion and lifestyle categories. The company says shoppers can expect products such as:

  • Women’s denim starting at $12
  • Men’s T-shirts starting at $5
  • Children’s sweatshirts starting at $8
  • Accessories, beauty products and home essentials
  • Seasonal clothing for families and students

Customers can also browse available merchandise online before visiting a store. That helps shoppers preview styles and categories before making a trip to the mall, even as Primark continues to focus heavily on in-store shopping.

Why the timing matters

The July openings arrive just before one of the busiest shopping periods of the year. Back-to-school season often brings families into malls to buy jeans, shirts, sweatshirts, shoes, bags and basics.

Primark’s U.S. President Kevin Tulip said the company remains proud of its continued U.S. ambition and believes Primark’s mix of quality fashion and strong value is important for today’s consumers.

The expansion also fits a wider retail trend. Major chains are still investing in physical stores where they see strong local demand. Earlier this summer, HomeGoods also announced two new U.S. store openings in July 2026, showing how value-focused retailers continue to grow in key regional markets.

Primark’s U.S. growth story

Primark was founded in Dublin, Ireland, in 1969. In Ireland, the company operates under the name Penneys, while the Primark name is used internationally.

The retailer entered the U.S. market in 2015 with its first American store in Boston. Since then, Primark has steadily expanded across the country while keeping physical stores at the center of its strategy.

Globally, Primark operates more than 480 stores across 19 countries. The new Houston and Indianapolis stores show the company is continuing to bet on American shoppers who want affordable clothing, family basics and home items in a traditional store setting.

With the Texas opening on July 16 and the Indiana debut on July 23, Primark’s July expansion gives shoppers in two states new access to the retailer just as seasonal spending begins to build.
