Attention Raiders: A violent hurricane has swept across the surface, turning raids into low-visibility firefights where wind, debris, and shifting sightlines can decide the outcome. Scouts are also reporting two new ARC variants in the Rust Belt—dangerous, unpredictable, and best approached with caution while the storm runs its course.
Shrouded Sky 1.17.0: What’s New
- Hurricane Map Condition that changes combat and traversal with gales, fog, and debris.
- Two New ARC Enemies spotted in the Rust Belt during storm activity.
- Weather Monitoring System as a seasonal player project with rewards tied to progress.
- Free Raider Deck added with the update.
- Dam Battlegrounds map update.
- Expedition Window improvements and related UI updates.
- Facial Hair Customization added for more cosmetic options.
Shrouded Sky Update: The Hurricane Strikes
As the hurricane closes in, raids become louder, riskier, and more tactical. The storm forces new approaches to looting and fighting—especially when wind and debris can expose movement and break the rhythm of an engagement. Raiders who can read the weather may find opportunity in the chaos.
Patch Highlights
- Weapon balancing for Stitcher, Kettle, Venator, Jupiter, and Aphelion.

- Mines, traps, and remote flares can no longer be placed on other deployables.
Weapon Balance: Design Direction
Recent changes unintentionally affected input buffering for semi-automatic weapons, allowing spam-clicking to bypass intended cadence and skill timing. This update tunes buffering per weapon so firing remains responsive, while players who pace shots cleanly retain an advantage. The goal is also to tighten the gap between low-tier value picks and higher-tier weapons.
Weapon Changes
Stitcher
The Stitcher remains a close-quarters threat, but extreme headshot TTK is being pulled closer to body-shot pacing.
- Reduced headshot multiplier 2.5 → 1.75
- Reduced base damage 7 → 6.5
- Increased per-shot dispersion by ~50% (faster bloom)
Kettle
The Kettle is being nudged away from SMG-like close-range dominance while preserving flexibility.
- Reduced base damage 10 → 8.5
Venator
Continued dominance in PvP leads to a direct TTK reduction.
- Reduced headshot multiplier 2.5 → 2
- Reduced base damage 9 → 8
Jupiter
A precision weapon that’s deadly on headshots but punishing on misses—now improved for clarity and weapon swapping.
- Improved ADS magnification ~1.9x → ~2.2x
- Improved equip time 1.2s → 1.05s
- Improved unequip time 0.9s → 0.75s
Aphelion
Tuned to feel less bulky and more viable in PvP pacing.
- Reduced base reload time 4.5s → 3.5s
- Reduced time between shots 0.9s → 0.7s
- Reduced vertical recoil by ~50%
- Improved ADS settle speed by ~35%
Items and Crafting
Energy Clip is now available by default in the Workbench.
Item Value and Cost Updates

Quality, Fixes, and Systems
The update includes broad improvements across achievements, animations, ARC behavior, audio performance, cosmetics, gameplay interactions, maps and lighting, movement, progression, quests, social features, UI clarity, utility items, and visual effects. Several known issues remain, including select UI layering quirks, occasional container interaction failures, and some rare animation/VFX edge cases.
Anti-Cheat Update
Enforcement is tightening with stronger detections and clearer consequences. Serious infractions can now result in immediate permanent bans, while other cases may lead to temporary suspensions with a chance to correct behavior. Systems continue to evolve with telemetry and pattern-based detection, alongside a move toward more structured manual review of ban appeals.
