All three victims were transported to local hospitals. ABC7 New York reported that one victim was in critical condition.

NBC New York, citing law-enforcement sources, reported that one person suffered a wound to the back and another was injured in the head. Two victims taken to Westchester Medical Center were described by a hospital representative as being in stable condition. Information about the third victim’s treatment was not immediately available.

Police say the campus threat has ended

Two people were taken into custody at the college, and officers recovered a knife from the scene, according to police. Authorities had not released the names or ages of the detained individuals by Wednesday afternoon, and no criminal charges had been publicly announced.

Police also had not confirmed whether the victims or those in custody were students, employees or visitors. The events leading to the violence, including whether the people involved knew one another, remained under investigation.

“No other suspects are being sought and there is no continuing threat to the college community,” the Westchester County Police Department said in its initial statement.

Students received an emergency message informing them that the situation had been contained. A section of the campus remained secured with police tape as patrol officers and detectives examined the scene and gathered evidence.

NBC New York reported that the investigation remained active and that authorities were seeking recordings or information from anyone who witnessed the incident.

This remains a developing investigation, and the reported medical conditions may change as hospitals and authorities release further information.
