Amazon Woodure Toddler Stool Recall: 91,000 Units Recalled After 15 Injuries

Families who bought a Woodure toddler kitchen stool from Amazon are being told to stop using it after 15 injuries were linked to instability and tip-over incidents. The nationwide recall covers about 91,000 units and includes three models sold over a two-year period.

The concern extends beyond a child falling from the elevated platform. Federal safety officials found that a child’s torso can pass through openings in the stool, creating an entrapment risk that could lead to serious injury or death.

Three checks for Woodure stool owners

Parents can quickly determine whether they need to act by checking the brand, purchase period and model number.

  • The stool carries the Woodure brand.
  • It was purchased on Amazon between July 2024 and June 2026.
  • Its model number is WD1764, WD1357 or WD1720.

The model number is engraved on the underside of the bottom step. Owners should rely on this marking rather than the stool’s appearance or an online order photograph.

The recalled plywood towers measure approximately 18 inches deep, 16.9 inches wide and 34.6 inches tall. They sold exclusively through Amazon.com for between $60 and $100.

Why normal-looking stools should not be used

Woodure has received 22 reports of stools becoming unstable or tipping over. Fifteen injuries involving cuts, scrapes and bruises were reported.

The official CPSC recall notice says the towers can also collapse during use. That risk is significant because the product is designed to elevate a young child to counter height.

A separate problem involves the openings on the front and back. They are large enough for a child’s torso to fit through, potentially leaving the child trapped even if the tower remains upright.

No deaths were listed in the recall announcement. However, owners should not assume that a stool is safe because it looks secure or has previously been used without a problem.

Stop using it before requesting the repair

Consumers should immediately move an affected stool to a location children cannot access. It should remain out of use until the manufacturer’s repair has been completed.

The remedy is a free repair kit, not a refund. Shenzhen Muqiqu Creative Development will mail the kit directly to consumers without charge.

The package contains protective nets, stabilizing feet and installation instructions. The nets are intended to address the dangerous openings, while the added feet are intended to improve stability.

Owners should install every supplied component according to the instructions before allowing a child to use the tower again. Recalled stools should not be sold, donated or given away in an unrepaired condition.

Parents examining other child-safety equipment can also review the Graco car seat recall and stop-use instructions.

How to obtain the Woodure repair kit

Consumers can call Shenzhen Muqiqu Creative Development at 844-687-1918 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Time, Monday through Friday.

Requests can also be emailed to woodure-service@hotmail.com. Online instructions are available at wwoodure.com/recall or through the “Safety Recall” option on the company’s website.

Having the engraved model number and Amazon purchase details ready may help consumers document that their product is included. Anyone who has difficulty receiving the announced remedy can submit a recall complaint to the CPSC.

If someone was injured while using the stool

Families should seek appropriate medical care and retain any photographs, order records and information about the incident. Injuries or product failures can be reported to the CPSC through SaferProducts.gov.

The Woodure action is listed as CPSC Recall No. 26-658. The stools were manufactured in China and imported by Shenzhen Muqiqu Creative Development Co. Ltd.

Another child-focused safety action worth checking is the recall of 254,000 Sloosh Dive Sticks, particularly for families sorting through older toys purchased online.
