Microsoft has confirmed that eight Xbox Game Pass titles will leave the service on July 31, 2026, with all of them now listed in the “Leaving Soon” section of the Xbox mobile app. The departures include Celeste, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, Crusader Kings III and Sniper Elite: Resistance.
The list covers console, PC and cloud gaming, giving subscribers limited time to finish active campaigns or buy the games before access ends.

Which Games Should Players Prioritise?
Celeste is the most practical option for players wanting to complete a full game before July 31. Its main journey is shorter than the lengthy campaigns in Bannerlord and Crusader Kings III, although optional challenges can extend the experience.
Sniper Elite: Resistance is another notable removal after joining Game Pass at launch. Players interested in its campaign, co-op missions or tactical gameplay may want to prioritise it before the end of the month.

Three Games Return to the Leaving List
Back to the Dawn, My Friendly Neighborhood and Whiskerwood were originally included in the early July departures before Microsoft removed them from the list. All three have now returned to the “Leaving Soon” section.
The temporary change led some subscribers to believe they might remain available longer. July 31 should now be treated as the current deadline unless Microsoft updates the catalogue again.
Players can check regional and platform availability through the official Xbox Game Pass catalogue.
Discounts Available Before Removal
Game Pass members can buy the departing titles with discounts of at least 20% before they leave. Crusader Kings III and Whiskerwood are reduced further as part of the Xbox Summer Sale.
Purchased games can continue using existing save progress after July 31. A downloaded title may remain installed, but it will usually require a valid licence once it leaves Game Pass.
More Games Are Still Coming
The removals do not mean July’s lineup is slowing down. Halo: Campaign Evolved and Mistfall Hunter are among the major additions still expected, while August is already shaping up to be another busy month for the service.
The Xbox Game Pass games leaving July 2026 list reflects the rotating nature of subscription libraries, where titles are regularly added and removed as licensing and publishing agreements change.

What Subscribers Should Do Before July 31
Players should finish shorter games first, review unfinished campaigns and check current discounts before the deadline. Anyone already invested in Bannerlord, Crusader Kings III or Sniper Elite: Resistance may want to purchase the game before access ends.
