The 2026 SEC Baseball Tournament bracket is officially set, and the road to one of college baseball’s most competitive conference championships begins Tuesday at Hoover Met in Hoover, Alabama. The six-day tournament runs from May 19 through May 24 and features all 16 SEC programs battling for the conference title and valuable NCAA Tournament momentum.
Georgia enters the tournament as the No. 1 overall seed after finishing the regular season with a dominant 24-6 SEC record. Texas secured the No. 2 seed, followed by Texas A&M and Alabama, with all four teams earning double-byes directly into the quarterfinal round.
The opening day schedule features four elimination games on SEC Network. Ole Miss opens the tournament against Missouri at 10:30 a.m. ET, followed by Vanderbilt vs. Kentucky in the afternoon session. Tennessee, seeded No. 10 after a 15-15 conference record, faces South Carolina in one of the day’s most anticipated matchups before Oklahoma closes the first round against LSU.
Texas Opens as Betting Favorite
Despite Georgia claiming the regular-season championship, sportsbooks view Texas as the strongest title contender entering Hoover. According to DraftKings Sportsbook, Texas holds +370 odds to win the SEC Tournament, slightly ahead of Georgia at +400 and Texas A&M at +450.
Mississippi State has emerged as one of the tournament’s biggest surprise contenders from a betting perspective. Although the Bulldogs are only the No. 8 seed, they currently hold the fourth-best odds at +550, ahead of higher-seeded Alabama and Arkansas.
Tennessee enters the tournament with +2800 odds and a difficult projected path. If the Volunteers defeat South Carolina, they would likely face Arkansas in the second round before a potential quarterfinal showdown against Texas.
