Vodafone TV UK Launching in October: Price, Channels, Netflix and HBO Max

Vodafone is launching Vodafone TV in the UK in October 2026, giving mobile and broadband customers a new entertainment service combining Netflix, HBO Max, live television, streaming apps and cloud gaming. The move puts VodafoneThree into more direct competition with Sky, EE and Virgin Media, although one crucial detail remains unknown: Vodafone has not yet announced the full monthly price.

The service will be available to new and existing Vodafone customers with a home broadband, 5G Broadband or mobile plan, meaning access will not be limited to conventional fixed-line broadband households.

When does Vodafone TV launch?

Vodafone has confirmed that Vodafone TV will launch in the UK in October 2026. An exact launch day has not yet been announced.

The expansion fits Vodafone’s broader push into connected homes. The company has already widened its internet offering with Vodafone’s 5G home broadband service in the UK, giving some households another option for getting online.

How much will Vodafone TV cost?

Vodafone has not yet revealed the full Vodafone TV pricing structure. There is therefore no confirmed monthly figure that customers can reliably compare with Sky Stream, EE TV or Virgin Media.

Vodafone has also yet to confirm details such as package choices, possible set-top-box charges, minimum contract terms and introductory offers.

Those details will be important because the value of Vodafone TV will depend on the total monthly cost, not simply the number of services included.

Netflix and HBO Max are included

Vodafone TV will include Netflix Standard with Ads and HBO Max Standard with Ads.

The specific tiers matter: customers should not assume that the higher-priced ad-free versions are included as standard. Vodafone says other HBO Max tiers will be available through its Subscription+ platform.

What channels will Vodafone TV have?

Vodafone says the platform will provide access to more than 150 additional live channels. It will also have Freely built in, providing more than 70 live channels and thousands of hours of on-demand programmes from broadcasters including the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5.

Freely delivers television over the internet, so customers will not need a traditional TV aerial or satellite dish to receive those channels through the service.

Full confirmed product and eligibility details are available in Vodafone’s official Vodafone TV announcement.

Disney+, Prime and DAZN can be added

Customers will also be able to add Disney+, Prime, DAZN, YouTube Premium and Spotify through Vodafone Subscription+.

Vodafone says optional subscriptions can be managed on a rolling 30-day basis. Thousands of compatible apps will also be accessible through the Google Play Store.

What does the Vodafone TV box offer?

The service uses a compact Android TV set-top box supporting 4K, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos with compatible content and equipment.

Vodafone says the box has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage and includes Google Assistant, personalised recommendations and Smart AI search to help viewers find entertainment across different services.

The use of AI-assisted discovery comes as Google expands artificial intelligence across its wider technology ecosystem, including developments around Gemini Flash AI technology.

Parental controls protected by a Master PIN will also be available.

Vodafone TV also includes cloud gaming

The platform will provide access to more than 300 cloud games. Supported games can be played using a smartphone or compatible Bluetooth controller.

Customers will also have access to Vodafone Box Office for renting or buying movies, making the product a broader entertainment hub rather than simply a live-TV service.

Can Vodafone TV be watched on mobile?

A companion app will allow profiles, favourites, recommendations and gameplay to move across supported devices. Vodafone says viewers can also begin selected programmes on their television and continue watching on mobile, although availability depends on the content.

Why Vodafone TV matters

VodafoneThree was created following the combination of Vodafone UK and Three UK and is undertaking an £11 billion UK network investment programme.

TV fills an important gap in its consumer offering. Sky, EE and Virgin Media already combine connectivity and entertainment, while Vodafone has traditionally focused more heavily on mobile and broadband.

Unlike a traditional broadcaster, Vodafone is relying on partnerships with established streaming and television providers rather than building a large catalogue of its own programming.

For customers considering Vodafone TV, the key details still to watch before October are the monthly price, exact launch date, complete channel list, contract length, equipment charges and introductory deals. Those figures will ultimately determine how Vodafone’s new service compares with established UK TV bundles and paying for streaming subscriptions separately.
