Walt Disney World is bringing back one of its most popular seasonal events in 2026, and this year’s Halloween calendar will require extra attention from guests planning a Magic Kingdom visit. Disney has confirmed that Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2026 will begin on August 7 and continue through October 31, giving the event a 38-night run across late summer and fall.
The early August launch makes the 2026 season especially important for trip planners. Guests visiting during what many still consider a summer travel window may find Magic Kingdom closing earlier than expected on select nights. For party guests, that means a full evening of Halloween entertainment. For regular daytime visitors, it means checking the calendar before choosing a Magic Kingdom day is essential.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2026 Dates and Ticket Details
The 2026 party schedule starts on August 7, followed by additional August dates on August 11, 14, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28 and 30. September party nights are scheduled for September 1, 4, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 24, 25, 27 and 29.
October has the heaviest schedule, with events on October 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 18, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29 and Halloween night on October 31. As usual, late October dates are expected to attract the strongest demand, especially from families and Disney fans who want the closest possible experience to Halloween itself.
Ticket prices range from $119 to $229 per person, plus tax, depending on the event date. Guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels and Shades of Green can purchase tickets beginning May 5. Tickets open to all other guests on May 12.
Annual Passholders and eligible Disney Vacation Club Members can save $10 per ticket on select party nights from August 7 through October 2. Tickets will be available through the official Walt Disney World Halloween event page and the Disney Reservation Center.
The biggest planning issue is Magic Kingdom’s early closure. On party nights, regular park guests are expected to leave before the separately ticketed event begins. Party ticket holders may enter Magic Kingdom from 4 p.m., while the Halloween event runs from 7 p.m. to midnight. That gives party guests up to eight hours in the park, but it shortens the day for visitors using standard admission only.
This is where many travelers can get caught off guard. A family booking Magic Kingdom on a party date without buying Halloween party tickets could lose several evening hours, including nighttime entertainment time and cooler late-day touring. Visitors who want a full Magic Kingdom day should choose a non-party date, while guests planning to attend the party may prefer a slower morning before entering the park later in the afternoon.
What Guests Can Expect During the 2026 Halloween Party
Disney is keeping the core of the event familiar while adding a new entertainment offering for 2026. A Stitch-themed dance party will debut at Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland, featuring Stitch, Lilo and Angel. The setup centers on Stitch exploring Lilo’s costume trunk, with different accessories changing the party’s theme throughout the night.
Several major entertainment offerings are returning. Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade will once again move through Magic Kingdom with Mickey, Minnie, Disney characters, waltzing ghosts and other seasonal favorites. The Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular is also back, bringing the Sanderson Sisters to the stage with Disney villains including Hades, Cruella de Vil, Jafar, Dr. Facilier and the Evil Queen.
Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks show will return with Jack Skellington as narrator, castle projections and fireworks over Cinderella Castle. The Cadaver Dans will also perform in Frontierland, adding their familiar Halloween harmonies to the evening lineup.
Trick-or-treating remains a central part of the party. More than a dozen treat locations will be placed around Magic Kingdom, with complimentary bags provided to guests. Candy offerings are expected to include Mars Wrigley favorites such as M&Ms, Snickers and Starburst. Adults can participate too, and costumes are encouraged, though guests should review Disney’s costume rules before arriving.
Character appearances will be another major draw. Confirmed meet-and-greet highlights include Jack Skellington and Sally, Mickey and Minnie in Halloween outfits, Winnie the Pooh in his bumblebee costume, Ariel and Eric, Aladdin and Jasmine, plus Disney villains appearing across the park. More character details are expected closer to the start of the season.
Food and drinks will also be part of the 2026 event. Disney has already previewed several party-exclusive items, including the Minnie Witch Hat at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café, Bowl of Bones at The Friar’s Nook and Buzzard Wings at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Café. More seasonal menu items should be announced as the event approaches.
Quick-service locations expected to operate during the party include Aloha Isle, Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies, Casey’s Corner, Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café, The Friar’s Nook, Golden Oak Outpost, Liberty Square Market, The Lunching Pad, Main Street Bakery, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Café, Pinocchio Village Haus, Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, Sleepy Hollow and Storybook Treats.
Guests looking for table-service dining will have limited party-night options. Be Our Guest Restaurant and Cinderella’s Royal Table will offer party-exclusive menus beginning at 4 p.m. for event guests. The Plaza Restaurant will serve Halloween-themed items during the day and evening, while The Beak & Barrel is also expected to offer themed drinks and snacks. Advance reservations are required where available.
Disney will also offer two dessert party options for Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular: one at Tomorrowland Terrace and another with Plaza Garden viewing. Booking details have not yet been released.
Exclusive merchandise will be sold during party nights, including a charcoal sweatshirt featuring the Sanderson Sisters, Oogie Boogie and Mickey in a retro-style design. Additional merchandise is expected before the event begins.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2026 is not just a Halloween celebration; it is a major scheduling factor for anyone visiting Walt Disney World from August through October. With high demand, early closures and a record-early start, guests who compare dates before booking will be in the best position to avoid surprises and get the most value from their Magic Kingdom day.
