Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 5 Release Date: One Piece, Start Times and Downtime

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 5 will arrive on Sunday, November 1, 2026, introducing the pirate-themed Treasure Hunters mini-season and a confirmed One Piece collaboration. The update marks the beginning of Chapter 7’s final phase before an expected transition to Chapter 8 in December, giving players a shorter window to experience new content.

Epic Games has teased the November 1 launch, but the exact server downtime and reopening schedule remain unconfirmed. Players in the US, UK, India and Australia should prepare for several hours of possible maintenance before the new season becomes playable.

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 5 Release Date and Treasure Hunters Reveal

Epic Games unveiled Treasure Hunters on October 24 through a teaser featuring a treasure map and the November 1 date. The promotional campaign uses the tagline “The Greatest Adventure of All Time,” pointing toward a pirate adventure involving multiple crews.

The mini-season follows Chapter 7 Season 4, known as Override, and is expected to run for approximately one month.

Players still completing the current Battle Pass should finish outstanding challenges before the transition. Those exploring existing rewards can also review the Fortnite Admin Panel codes and Override rewards, although code availability may change.

Fortnite Season 5 Start Times and Expected Downtime

Insider Gaming reports that maintenance could begin around 4 a.m. Eastern Time on November 1. The following regional times reflect that estimate, accounting for daylight saving changes:

  • US Pacific: 1 a.m. PST
  • US Central: 3 a.m. CST
  • US Eastern: 4 a.m. EST
  • Brazil: 6 a.m. BRT
  • United Kingdom: 9 a.m. GMT
  • Central Europe: 10 a.m. CET
  • India: 2:30 p.m. IST
  • China: 5 p.m. CST
  • Japan and South Korea: 6 p.m.
  • Australia (Sydney): 8 p.m. AEDT
  • New Zealand: 10 p.m. NZDT

These are estimated downtime start times, not confirmed playable launch times. Servers could remain unavailable for several hours while Epic deploys the update.

Players can monitor maintenance notices, login issues and matchmaking availability through the official Epic Games server status page.

One Piece Collaboration Teases the Going Merry

One Piece will headline the upcoming crossover content. Epic’s teaser features a ship resembling the Going Merry, the Straw Hat Pirates’ famous vessel, travelling through the clouds.

The appearance has raised expectations of a themed Battle Bus, character outfits and other pirate-inspired content. However, Epic has not confirmed individual skins, Item Shop prices or whether Monkey D. Luffy will be included in the Battle Pass.

Although the collaboration is tied to the November 1 mini-season, the exact availability of individual cosmetics remains unclear.

Treasure Hunters Pirate Crews and Map Changes

Promotional material and reports identify several crews connected to the upcoming adventure:

  • Jonesy and Hope
  • Straw Hat Pirates from One Piece
  • A$AP Rocky
  • Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto
  • Lil Uzi Vert
  • An unidentified sixth crew

The mini-season is also expected to introduce a new map or substantial island changes. Pirate-themed locations, treasure-related activities and special encounters are possibilities, but Epic has not released the complete gameplay details.

It remains uncertain whether the crews will function as factions, bosses, quest characters or cosmetic collections.

Battle Pass Rewards and Server Reopening

The outgoing Override Battle Pass ends with the seasonal transition. Players should complete remaining objectives and check available rewards before November 1.

The Treasure Hunters Battle Pass price, reward lineup and progression requirements have not been fully announced.

Some reports suggest servers could reopen approximately three hours after downtime begins, but Epic has not guaranteed that timetable. Downloads, login queues or extended maintenance could delay access.

Fortnite Chapter 8 Expected December 1

Treasure Hunters is reportedly planned as a one-month bridge to Chapter 8, with a major finale expected before the next chapter begins around December 1, 2026.

Fortnite has previously used large-scale events for chapter transitions. Its Zero Hour live event in November 2025 reportedly attracted 10.5 million simultaneous players before Chapter 7 launched.

Epic has not confirmed the Chapter 8 launch hour or the format and timing of the next finale. Players should watch for official announcements, particularly if the event requires joining at a specific time.

With the November 1 update approaching, the remaining details players need are the confirmed maintenance schedule, One Piece cosmetic lineup and the exact time Treasure Hunters becomes playable.
