BBC Confirms Jaime Winstone and Carlos Gu Will Receive a Bye
The BBC’s decision means Winstone will not face elimination simply because she cannot perform on November 7.
The medical bye allows the partnership to miss one episode while retaining its place in the competition. However, it does not guarantee Winstone will be fit to dance the following weekend.
Her potential return on November 14 remains dependent on medical advice and recovery progress.
Winstone is among the celebrities featured in the Strictly Come Dancing 2026 celebrity line-up, which includes actors, musicians, television personalities and sports stars.

Delta Goodrem Previously Missed Strictly With Rib Injury
Winstone is the second celebrity to miss a live show because of injury during the 2026 series.

Goodrem subsequently earned the season’s first score of 10 during a rumba to Celine Dion’s “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now”.
Her comeback offers encouragement, although Winstone’s recovery could follow a different timetable.
