Eckhart was found dead on September 19 at her Martin County residence. The Martin County Sheriffâs Office said she appeared to have died by suicide.
Her death has drawn renewed attention to her years at Fox Business, her later work outside television and the long-running legal case involving former Fox News anchor Ed Henry.

Eckhart became nationally known in 2020 after filing a lawsuit against former Fox News anchor Ed Henry and Fox News Network.
In the lawsuit, Eckhart accused Henry of sexual assault, rape and harassment. Henry denied the allegations and maintained that their sexual relationship had been consensual.
Fox News fired Henry in July 2020 after receiving Eckhartâs complaint and conducting an outside investigation.
