LEGO Unveils Daft Punk Alive 2007 Pyramid Set, Teases Bigger Plans for 2027

October 22, 2026 — LEGO and French electronic music legends Daft Punk have announced a major collaboration centered on the duo’s iconic Alive 2007 pyramid stage, bringing one of electronic music’s most recognizable concert designs into the world of building bricks.

The partnership, announced Thursday, includes a fan-inspired LEGO concert set, a new promotional film and plans for additional products and creative experiences, with more details expected in 2027. It also marks a fresh celebration of Daft Punk’s legacy, five years after Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo officially disbanded.

Unlike a conventional celebrity merchandise deal, the project began with a father and son building a tribute to their favorite electronic music duo during the COVID-19 lockdown.

LEGO Daft Punk Alive 2007 Set Recreates Legendary Pyramid Stage

The centerpiece of the collaboration is a LEGO model inspired by the illuminated pyramid stage used during Daft Punk’s 2007 Alive tour.

The original stage became famous for its futuristic structure, synchronized lighting and electronic performances. It remains closely associated with the duo’s signature robot imagery.

The fan-created LEGO concept recreates the pyramid, miniature performers and concert equipment using interlocking bricks.

Daft Punk creative director CĂ©dric Hervet said the pyramid was an appropriate starting point because it represents a defining element of the group’s visual history. He also emphasized the role fans have played in Daft Punk’s story.

Although LEGO has confirmed the collaboration, the final design and specifications of the retail product have not been announced.

Father-Son LEGO Project Started During 2020 Lockdown

The idea originated with Patrick Harboun and his son, who developed the Daft Punk concert model during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020.

Their creation won the grand prize in LEGO Ideas’ Music to Our Ears competition. The project later attracted 10,000 supporters, qualifying it for consideration through LEGO’s official review process.

The original fan design reportedly contained approximately 2,000 pieces and incorporated a motorized rotating feature inspired by the concert’s lighting effects.

Those details describe the submitted model, not confirmed features of the eventual retail set.

Harboun said the project began as a creative family activity and that its transformation into an official collaboration exceeded their expectations.

Daft Punk LEGO Short Film Features Voyager and Human After All

LEGO introduced the partnership with a 48-second promotional film featuring minifigure versions of Bangalter and de Homem-Christo wearing their distinctive robot helmets.

In the video, the musicians follow a glowing red brick through a mysterious landscape before discovering a futuristic LEGO console.

The soundtrack incorporates music from “Voyager,” featured on Daft Punk’s 2001 album Discovery, and “Human After All,” the title track from their 2005 album.

The film combines familiar Daft Punk imagery with LEGO’s playful visual style without announcing new music or a live performance.

LEGO Daft Punk Set Release Date, Price and Availability

Despite the announcement, LEGO has not confirmed when the pyramid set will become available to purchase.

As of October 22, 2026, the company has not disclosed an official retail price, final piece count, set number or preorder date.

The original fan design may also undergo changes before reaching stores, meaning collectors should not assume its moving parts or construction details will appear in the finished product.

LEGO says further information about the collaboration will arrive in 2027, although that does not establish a confirmed retail release date.

Fans can follow the official LEGO Ideas platform for information about fan-designed projects and their development.

LEGO and Daft Punk Tease More Projects for 2027

The companies say their partnership will extend beyond the pyramid model into additional products, content and brand experiences combining music, culture and creativity.

LEGO chief product and marketing officer Julia Goldin described the collaboration as an opportunity to connect audiences across generations through two brands known for innovation and creative expression.

However, neither company has confirmed additional set names, event locations or a detailed schedule for future announcements.

The collaboration reflects the growing importance of established entertainment properties, as companies find new ways to connect recognizable creative brands with audiences. Similar questions about the commercial value of major entertainment franchises have emerged around the Paramount and Warner Bros. merger developments.

Daft Punk’s Previous LEGO Appearance in Pharrell Williams Film

This is not the first time Daft Punk have appeared in LEGO form.

The duo previously appeared as animated LEGO-style characters in Piece by Piece, Pharrell Williams’ 2024 biographical film. Daft Punk had earlier collaborated with Williams and Nile Rodgers on the 2013 hit “Get Lucky.”

Daft Punk’s influence also extends beyond electronic music into film and popular culture. Their appearance in Piece by Piece illustrates that crossover appeal, while major entertainment events continue to shape the industry’s calendar, including the 2026–2027 awards season.

Daft Punk Reunion Status After LEGO Announcement

The LEGO partnership does not mean Daft Punk are reuniting.

Bangalter and de Homem-Christo announced their split in February 2021 after nearly three decades together. Their influential catalog includes Homework, Discovery, Human After All and Random Access Memories.

Neither a new album nor a concert tour has been announced as part of the LEGO collaboration.

For now, the pyramid model represents a celebration of Daft Punk’s concert history rather than a musical comeback. The next important announcements will concern the finished LEGO design, its retail price and the wider partnership’s plans for 2027.
