The Powerball jackpot climbed to $113 million ahead of Monday night’s drawing on Feb. 9, with a cash value estimated at $51.8 million, as players across the United States waited for the latest winning numbers to be released.
Powerball has produced nearly 200 jackpot-winning tickets since the game was introduced in 1992. As of this drawing, 48 U.S. lotteries participate in Powerball, with tickets unavailable only in Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada and Utah.
Historically, the states with the highest number of Powerball jackpot winners include Indiana, Missouri, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, though tickets sold in any participating jurisdiction carry the same odds of winning.
Powerball has delivered some of the largest lottery prizes in U.S. history. The biggest jackpot on record remains the $2.04 billion win in California in November 2022, followed by a $1.817 billion ticket sold on Christmas Eve 2025 in Arkansas.
The Feb. 9 drawing marked another step in the jackpot’s upward trajectory. If no ticket matched all five white balls and the red Powerball, the top prize would continue rolling forward to the next scheduled draw.
Winning numbers for the Feb. 9 Powerball – 6-19-22-28-48 − 24 PB − 5x PP.
