Who can play Powerball?
You do not need to be a U.S. citizen or resident to play Powerball. Anyone who is legally present in a participating jurisdiction may purchase a ticket if they meet the minimum age requirement, typically 18 years old.
Powerball tickets are sold in 45 states, along with the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
How to play Powerball
Each Powerball ticket costs $2 per play. Players choose five white balls numbered 1 to 69 and one red Powerball numbered 1 to 26.
For an additional $1, players can add the Power Play option, which multiplies non-jackpot prizes by 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, or 10X, depending on the draw.
