What Is Connections: Sports Edition?
Connections: Sports Edition is a daily word puzzle created by the New York Times in partnership with The Athletic. It can be played on both desktop and mobile devices.
Each puzzle presents 16 words. Your task is to divide them into four groups of four, where each group shares a common theme. The tricky part? Several words may appear to fit together, but only one combination is correct.
Once you correctly identify a group, those words disappear from the board. You’re allowed up to four mistakes before the game ends.
To help players, the game allows reshuffling of words. Each category is also color-coded by difficulty: Yellow (easiest), then Green, Blue, and Purple (hardest). Results can be shared on social media, just like Wordle.
