How to play Powerball

Powerball tickets cost $2 per play and are sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Players select six numbers:

Five white balls (numbers 1 to 69)
One red Powerball (numbers 1 to 26)

To win the jackpot, a ticket must match all five white balls in any order plus the red Powerball.

Players can add Power Play for $1, which can multiply non-jackpot prizes by 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, or 10x depending on the multiplier drawn. The Quick Pick option is also available for tickets where the system randomly selects numbers.
