Can Non-U.S. Citizens Play Powerball?
You do not need to be a U.S. citizen or resident to play. Anyone physically present in a participating jurisdiction may purchase a ticket, provided they meet the legal age requirement (typically 18) and buy from a licensed retailer.
How to Play Powerball
Each ticket costs $2 per play. Players choose:
Five white balls numbered 1 through 69
One red Powerball numbered 1 through 26
To win the jackpot, you must match all five white balls (in any order) plus the red Powerball.
For an additional $1, players can add Power Play, which multiplies non-jackpot prizes by 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X or 10X.
If no one wins the jackpot, the prize rolls over to the next drawing — increasing the potential payout even further.
