TORONTO — The Toronto Air Show returns over Lake Ontario this Labour Day weekend, bringing military jets, historic warbirds and aerobatic displays to the waterfront for three days of flying.
Officially known as the Canadian International Air Show (CIAS), the 77th edition runs from September 5 to 7, 2026, with performances scheduled from 12:00 p.m. to 3:40 p.m. daily. Friday, September 4 is the official practice day during the same hours.

A pre-show Water Display runs from 11:30 a.m. to 11:59 a.m. before flying begins at noon. The detailed aircraft order is released each morning and can change because of weather, maintenance or operational requirements.

Who is performing?
The Canadian Forces Snowbirds are among the headline performers. The 2026 lineup also includes the CF-18 Demonstration, Supermarine Spitfire, Hawker Hurricane, The Pink Jet, T-33, CP-140 Aurora, CH-146 Griffon, Beechcraft Expeditor and RCMP Black Hawk Helicopter.
The RCAF Heritage Flight is another highlight, bringing aircraft from different generations of Canadian military aviation together in the same display.
Where to watch the Toronto Air Show
The official ticketed viewing area is the Exclusive Air Show Zone at Marilyn Bell Park, 1095 Lake Shore Boulevard West. Located directly in front of centre stage, it provides views of the main manoeuvres along with live narration.
The show can also be seen from some areas within the CNE and other locations along the lakeshore, although those viewpoints may offer side views without official narration. The performances take place over the same waterfront whose Lake Ontario name recently changed for some Google Maps users, while Canadian users continue to see the Lake Ontario name.
Access and travel changes for 2026
An important change this year is that the Bailey Bridge will not provide access to the Exclusive Air Show Zone. Visitors approaching from the CNE should use the British Columbia Road pedestrian crossing over Lake Shore Boulevard West.
Walking from many nearby transit and parking locations can take 10 to 20 minutes, and parking around the CNE is limited. Public transit and an early arrival may be the easier option during the busy weekend.
Tickets, STEM Runway and weather
The Exclusive Air Show Zone opens at 10:00 a.m. each show day, and tickets include same-day admission to the CNE. The adjacent STEM Runway is free and operates from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from September 5 to 7.
Visitors are advised to bring a refillable water bottle, sunscreen, sunglasses, comfortable footwear and ear protection for anyone sensitive to aircraft noise. The venue is mostly cashless, and bags are checked for security.
Weather can affect individual performances, with displays potentially modified or cancelled for safety. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable, including in cases of inclement weather.
Livestream option for viewers at home
People who cannot reach the waterfront can follow the show online. CIAS says live video will be available Saturday and Sunday, while audio narration will be offered on all three show days.
For spectators attending in person, arriving early and checking the same-day flying schedule before travelling will help avoid last-minute schedule or access surprises.
