Virgin Australia has launched an international sale with return flights to Bali from $429, alongside discounted fares to Queenstown, Vanuatu and Fiji. The offer is aimed at Australians planning overseas trips between October 2026 and June 2027.
Bookings close at 11.59pm AEST on Friday, August 7, 2026, unless the discounted allocation sells out earlier. Although promoted as a one-week sale, the published booking period runs from Monday to Friday.

When can passengers travel?
The broader travel window runs from October 13, 2026, to June 22, 2027, but eligible dates differ by route. The $429 Gold Coast–Bali fare is offered on selected dates in November 2026 and between late January and February 2027.
Melbourne–Bali dates mainly fall in February, March and May 2027. Queenstown fares are concentrated between February and June, while selected Fiji flights are available from January to June 2027. Brisbane–Vanuatu dates include periods in November and December 2026, followed by additional dates in early and mid-2027.
Travellers should use flexible-date searches because the lowest price may disappear for a preferred departure. School holidays and other high-demand periods may offer fewer discounted seats.

Virgin Australia Holidays by Hopper is offering packages containing return Economy Lite flights and four nights of accommodation. Prices are per person and based on two travellers sharing a room.

What the cheapest fare excludes
Economy Lite includes a seat and eligible carry-on baggage, but checked baggage and complimentary standard seat selection are not included. Adding luggage, choosing seats or paying an applicable card surcharge can increase the final price.
