Five Below has opened its new Big Rapids, Michigan, store, leaving eight previously announced locations across seven states still awaiting confirmed opening dates.
The Big Rapids branch opened on July 10, 2026, at Ferris Commons. Five Below later reached another milestone by opening its 2,000th US store in LaGrange, Georgia, on July 17.
Customers interested in the remaining locations should check Five Below’s official store locator before travelling because opening dates, hours and promotions have not yet been published for every store.

Virginia is the only state receiving two of the remaining stores. A “coming soon” listing does not mean every location will open together, as construction, inspections, hiring and stock deliveries can affect individual schedules.
Big Rapids store opened on July 10
The Five Below store at 1246 Perry Ave., Unit C, opened at 10 a.m. on July 10. Its grand-opening activities continued through July 13 with children’s entertainment, trivia, prizes, special offers and giveaways while supplies lasted.
Jennifer Benham, a Five Below employee for five years, was appointed manager of the Big Rapids location.
Published hours were 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. from Monday to Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday. Current hours should still be confirmed before visiting.
Five Below reaches 2,000 US locations
Five Below opened its 2,000th store at 299 Commerce Avenue in LaGrange, Georgia, on July 17, 2026, more than two decades after the company was founded in 2002.
The first 200 customers at the milestone event were eligible to receive a limited-edition Neon Squishy Dumpling collectible. Games, music, prizes and other giveaways were also planned for the celebration.
Chief executive Winnie Park said the achievement supported the retailer’s mission to serve “the kid and the kid in all of us.” She added that the company believes there is room for thousands of additional US stores.

The LaGrange branch is separate from the planned Dublin location. Although both are in Georgia, they serve different communities.
Expansion continues during fiscal 2026
The eight unopened stores form part of Five Below’s plan to add approximately 150 net-new locations during fiscal 2026.
The retailer ended fiscal 2025 with 1,921 stores across 46 states. It added 49 net-new locations during the first quarter of fiscal 2026, bringing the total to 1,970 as of May 2.
First-quarter net sales reached approximately $1.29 billion, up 32.5% from the previous year. Comparable sales increased 22.7% during the same period.
Five Below is not the only retailer expanding its physical network. Burlington is opening 12 stores across six states in July 2026, while Target is adding 11 stores across 10 states.

Five Below sells toys, games, collectibles, sweets, beauty items, room décor, fashion accessories, sports products, technology accessories and party supplies.
Many products cost between $1 and $5, but merchandise in the Five Beyond range can be priced above $5. Selection and availability may differ between stores.
Opening-day promotions should be confirmed for each location because giveaways may be limited to a fixed number of customers or available only while supplies last.
