Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza is crossing from the fictional world of Five Nights at Freddy’s into the real one. A permanent restaurant and immersive entertainment experience based on the horror franchise is scheduled to open at American Dream in East Rutherford, New Jersey, in 2027.

The project is being developed with ScottGames, the company behind the franchise, and is being described as the world’s first permanent immersive restaurant experience tied to Five Nights at Freddy’s. Unlike a temporary pop-up or themed food counter, the venue is intended to combine dining, arcade games, animatronic performances and multiplayer horror experiences in one location.

Where will Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza open?

The restaurant will be located inside American Dream in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The massive entertainment and retail complex already houses attractions including Nickelodeon Universe, DreamWorks Water Park, Big SNOW, LEGOLAND Discovery Center and SEA LIFE Aquarium.

Its Meadowlands location also puts the attraction close to MetLife Stadium and within the New York metropolitan area. East Rutherford has already demonstrated its ability to draw international visitors for major events, including the FIFA World Cup 2026 final and its closing ceremony at MetLife Stadium.

What will be inside Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza?

The attraction is planned as a functioning fast-casual restaurant rather than simply a recreation visitors walk through. Guests will be able to dine, play arcade games and watch animatronic entertainment.

Plans include two animatronic stage shows. Freddy and the Fazbear Band will perform on the Main Stage, while Foxy the Pirate will have a separate show at Pirate Cove.

American Dream’s creative team has emphasized authenticity, including both the animatronic performances and the quality of the food. A complete menu, however, has not been announced.

The restaurant-and-entertainment combination follows a broader trend of major fictional properties moving into real dining experiences. The Popeyes ONE PIECE menu collaboration is another example of entertainment fandom being connected directly with restaurant experiences.

There will be multiplayer survival-horror experiences

Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza will not be limited to food and arcade entertainment. Guests will also be able to go “behind the curtain” for immersive multiplayer experiences inspired by survival horror.

This part of the attraction could provide the closest connection to the tension and gameplay that made FNAF famous. Details remain limited, though. American Dream has not announced how the games will work, their duration, group sizes, age requirements or whether they will require separate tickets.

Is this the first real-world FNAF attraction?

It is not the first physical FNAF experience, but it is intended to be the franchise’s first permanent immersive restaurant.

Fright Dome at Circus Circus Las Vegas featured a Five Nights at Freddy’s walk-through attraction during the 2016 Halloween season. Sally Corporation also unveiled an officially licensed FNAF interactive dark-ride concept that year, including a prototype Foxy animatronic, but the proposed ride was never commissioned and built.

In 2025, Universal brought FNAF to Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando and Hollywood, while Universal Studios Florida offered temporary Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza-inspired food. The American Dream project differs because it is being designed as an ongoing restaurant and entertainment destination rather than a seasonal experience.

When does Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza open?

The opening is planned for 2027, but an exact date or month has not been announced. Fans should therefore be cautious about unofficial opening dates appearing online.

Instead of watching Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza through a screen, fans are being promised a physical venue where they can eat, visit the arcade, watch Freddy and the Fazbear Band perform, see Foxy at Pirate Cove and enter interactive horror experiences.

Several practical details still need to be revealed before visitors can properly plan a 2027 trip, particularly the exact opening date, admission structure, menu, prices and age policies.
