The 2026 Qatar Goodwood Festival begins on Tuesday, 28 July, bringing five days of elite Flat racing and a wave of bookmaker promotions to West Sussex. New customers can find welcome packages worth up to £50 in free bets, while existing users are being offered extra places, odds boosts and refunds for narrowly beaten selections.
Glorious Goodwood features 38 races through Saturday, 1 August. Its three Group 1 contests are the Goodwood Cup on Tuesday, Sussex Stakes on Wednesday and Nassau Stakes on Thursday. Friday includes the King George Stakes, while Saturday features the Stewards’ Cup.
Declarations, race times, non-runners and going conditions can change. The official Goodwood Festival timetable provides the latest programme.
How Goodwood betting offers work
Free bets are promotional tokens rather than withdrawable cash, and their stake is normally excluded from returns. Price boosts increase the odds on selected horses but often carry a maximum stake.
Non-Runner No Bet returns an eligible stake when the horse does not run. Best Odds Guaranteed pays an eligible winner at the starting price when it is higher than the early price taken. “Money back” usually means free-bet credit rather than cash.
Betfred and Tote offers
Eligible new Betfred customers can receive £50 in free bets by using BETFRED50, depositing £10 and placing a £10 wager at evens or higher. Betfred is also paying additional places on selected Goodwood races, including five places instead of four in some markets.
Tote offers new customers £20 after a qualifying £5 racing bet. The reward is divided into a £10 sportsbook free bet and £10 Tote Credit. Existing users who stake £10 on an eligible Goodwood race can receive their money back as Tote Credit if their horse finishes second.
Coral and BetGoodwin promotions
Coral provides eligible new customers with £30 in free bets after a qualifying £5 wager. The reward is issued as six £5 tokens. Its Pipped at the Post promotion pays qualifying selections as winners if they finish second by a head or less.
BetGoodwin offers up to £100 in free-bet refunds when an eligible horse is beaten by a nose. Separate promotions cover qualifying chase selections beaten by less than half a length and horses finishing second to a 50/1 outsider. Lucky 15 bets are excluded from several offers.
Unibet and Ladbrokes offers
Unibet’s Racing Acca Boost allows three qualifying accumulator boosts daily, with increases of up to 40 per cent and a £20 maximum stake. Uniboost lets customers boost three horses each day, while Same Race Multi combines up to four selections from one race. Super Boosts are also available on selected runners.
New Ladbrokes customers can receive £30 in free bets after depositing and staking £5 at odds of 1/2 or higher. Existing-user promotions include Place Insurance, Goodwood bet-builder boosts of up to 25 per cent, daily price boosts, Best Odds Guaranteed and a minimum £100,000 placepot.
William Hill and Bet365 offers
William Hill gives eligible new mobile customers three £10 free bets after a qualifying £10 wager. It also advertises Best Odds Guaranteed and Bet Boosts on selected Goodwood markets.
Bet365 offers £30 in free bets after an eligible new customer uses INDY2026, deposits £10 and wagers £10 at odds of 1/5 or higher. Its Goodwood promotions include price boosts, a daily Super Boost and extra each-way places. Enhanced-place bets may not qualify for Best Odds Guaranteed.
Bet365 is also promoting Position Payout, which uses fixed multipliers to calculate possible returns according to where a horse finishes.

Which Goodwood offer is best?
Betfred has the largest advertised welcome package in this comparison, but its £10 qualifying wager must be placed at evens or higher. Tote requires a smaller initial racing stake, while Coral and Ladbrokes divide their rewards into £5 tokens that can be spread across several races.
Existing customers may get more practical value from extra places, Best Odds Guaranteed or narrow-defeat protection. Tote refunds eligible second-place bets as Tote Credit, Coral can pay certain close seconds as winners, and Ladbrokes Place Insurance may return cash under specified conditions.
Readers comparing prices at other major meetings can review the earlier Cheltenham Festival betting picks and race analysis. The effect of confirmed declarations on prices is also explained in the guide to Cheltenham Gold Cup runners and odds.
Terms and Goodwood course factors
Before claiming an offer, check the eligibility period, minimum odds, accepted payment methods, qualifying markets and free-bet expiry. Cashed-out, voided and non-runner wagers may not qualify. Each-way bets, accumulators, Tote bets and boosted selections can also be excluded.
Goodwood’s right-handed, undulating course can test a horse’s balance. Bettors should consider recent form, course experience, trainer and jockey records, draw, race pace, weather and the latest going report. No draw position provides a universal advantage across every distance.
Responsible gambling
All promotions can change and are restricted to adults aged 18 or over. Betting should be treated as entertainment, not a way to make money. Set deposit and loss limits, never chase losses and only stake money you can afford to lose. Some betting links may generate commission, but readers should verify every promotion directly with the bookmaker before registering.
