BART and Muni Travel Updates
BART plans additional trains, longer service capacity and increased station staffing. Embarcadero and Montgomery stations provide access to the northern parade route.
For the southern end, passengers can transfer from Powell Street BART to the Muni T Third line at Union Square and travel toward Fourth and King.
Muni’s F Market & Wharves service will use replacement buses, while N Judah trains will terminate at Embarcadero Station between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Several bus routes will also be rerouted.
Gabby Williams and Valkyries Players to Attend
Finals MVP Gabby Williams will join San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie to open the celebration with the traditional GSV drum ceremony.
Coach Natalie Nakase, team president Jess Smith, Oakland Mayor Barbara Lee, players and team staff will participate.
The championship arrives during a significant period for women’s basketball, with league growth and leadership changes also drawing attention following WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert’s retirement announcement.
