The update offers a closer look at how music will shape life in Leonida, the fictional state that includes Vice City. For the first time in the series, protagonists Jason and Lucia will be able to listen to radio stations and podcasts through smartphone-connected headphones or earbuds, even while exploring on foot.
Lana Del Rey, Bad Bunny and Morgan Wallen Linked to GTA 6 Radio
According to music publication Pitchfork, several major artists are involved in GTA 6’s radio programming, although Rockstar’s official descriptions primarily identify their in-game presenter names.
Lana Del Rey, her husband Jeremy Dufrene and country singer Morgan Wallen are reportedly associated with Back Country Radio. Bad Bunny and Puerto Rican artist RaiNao are linked to Latin music station Cocoteo FM.
Burna Boy and Palms Trax are associated with AfroBank FM, while Swedish singer Robyn and model Alex Consani are linked to Flash FM.
Slayer musicians Kerry King and Tom Araya are connected with heavy metal station The Chamber 106.6. Southern rap artists Trick Daddy and Trina are associated with Dirty South Classics.
All Six GTA 6 Radio Stations and Their Hosts
Rockstar has published audio previews of six stations on its official GTA 6 music website.
- Cocoteo FM: Hosted by El Martillo and La Gata, featuring reggaeton, bachata, merengue and dembow.
- Back Country Radio: Hosted by MW and Delta Dawne, delivering country music across the Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn and beyond. Mud Dog Mike contributes reports from his airboat.
- AfroBank FM: Hosted by Burna and Palmsy, combining African classics with amapiano, 3-step and contemporary sounds.
- The Chamber 106.6: Hosted by DJ Kerry and DJ Tom, featuring heavy metal from the 1980s onward.
- Flash FM: The returning Vice City pop station, hosted by Robyn and Alex.
- Dirty South Classics: Hosted by Trick and Trina, playing Southern rap and hip-hop classics.
Rockstar describes the selection as its broadest in-game radio offering yet. These six stations are an initial showcase, not necessarily the complete lineup.
GTA 6 Adds Podcasts and Music Outside Cars
The biggest gameplay-related change is portable audio. Jason and Lucia can use headphones or earbuds connected to their smartphones to listen to radio broadcasts while walking around Leonida.
That means players will no longer need to remain inside vehicles to enjoy the game’s radio programming. Music and commentary can accompany exploration between missions.
Rockstar is also introducing on-demand podcasts, although it has not revealed episode titles, podcast hosts or the full selection of programs.
The feature expands a long-running Grand Theft Auto tradition in which radio stations provide music, fictional personalities and commentary that help establish the game’s setting.

GTA 6 Album Features 34 Original Tracks
Alongside the radio announcement, Rockstar is promoting Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, featuring 34 original tracks across multiple genres.
The album is available for digital pre-saving, with vinyl and CD pre-orders offered through its official promotional website.
The 34-track album should not be confused with the complete in-game soundtrack. Rockstar has not disclosed the total number of songs across every radio station.
More details about the game’s dynamic score and additional album singles are expected before launch.
Flash FM Returns as Rockstar Expands Vice City’s Soundtrack
Flash FM’s return connects GTA 6 with earlier Vice City titles, where radio stations helped define the atmosphere of the fictional city.
The new lineup also reflects Leonida’s different environments, from country programming associated with rural regions to Latin music and Southern hip-hop linked to the broader cultural setting.
The announcement comes as gaming companies increasingly explore entertainment beyond traditional gameplay. Microsoft’s Xbox entertainment expansion is another recent example of that trend.
GTA 6 Screenshots, Gameplay Leak Claims and Release Date
Social media discussion surrounding the announcement includes claims about new screenshots showing highways, nighttime cityscapes and detailed environments.
An X trending summary also references an alleged 25-minute gameplay leak featuring first-person driving. However, Rockstar’s official music announcement does not authenticate that footage, and the claim remains unverified.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A confirmed PC release date has not been announced.
Players considering console purchases ahead of the release may also be following developments such as the reported Nintendo Switch 2 price increase, although GTA 6 has not been announced for Nintendo’s platform.
Rockstar says further announcements will cover additional music releases and the game’s dynamic score. Full radio tracklists, podcast details and the final station count remain undisclosed.
