Jeremy Clarksonâs Hawkstone Farmers Choir won the 2026 final of Britainâs Got Talent on Saturday, May 30, becoming the first choir to take the title in the ITV programmeâs 19-series history.
The 32-member group received 28.72% of the public vote. Drone display act Celestial finished second with 13.36%, while dog act Anastasiia and Salsa placed third with 9.28%.
The victory earned the choir a ÂŁ250,000 prize and a place at the 2026 Royal Variety Performance in London.
How the Hawkstone Farmers Choir Won
Hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly announced the result during the live final at Londonâs Eventim Apollo. Ten acts competed, including singers, dancers, comedians and magicians.
The choir performed its original song âThis Is Home,â focusing on rural life and the bond between farming communities. Its vote share was more than twice that of its nearest competitor.
ITVâs official final voting figures placed singer Matty Juniosa fourth with 9.16%, magician Rafferty Coope fifth with 9.01% and poet Sonny Green sixth with 8.66%.
How the Farming Choir Began
The group was formed in 2024 in connection with Hawkstone, the beer and cider brand associated with television presenter and farmer Jeremy Clarkson. It began as an advertising project before developing into a dedicated choir of farmers and agricultural workers.
Amanda Holden selected the group as her Golden Buzzer act, sending it directly into the live semi-finals. The choir subsequently reached the final through a public vote.
Its success came during a busy period for television competitions, with the June 2026 reality TV schedule featuring several major talent and unscripted programmes.
A Victory Dedicated to Farmers
Choir leader Katrina Hawkstone dedicated the victory to farmers and encouraged anyone experiencing mental health difficulties to speak openly. Her message reflected the isolation and demanding working conditions faced by some people in agriculture.
Clarkson watched the final from the audience and joined the celebrations after the result. His Clarksonâs Farm co-star Kaleb Cooper followed the announcement with supporters near Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire.
A First in BGT History
The result created a milestone for a programme that has produced winners from music, comedy, dance and magic since its launch in 2007. The choirâs community-based performance stood apart from the finalâs larger visual and specialist acts.
Interest in British celebrity competition formats remains strong, with the confirmed Celebrity Traitors 2026 cast bringing together actors, musicians, presenters and comedians.
