Jeremy Clarkson’s Hawkstone Farmers Choir has made Britain’s Got Talent history after being crowned the winner of the ITV competition’s 2026 final. The 32-member choir secured victory following a public vote that attracted more than one million votes, earning a ÂŁ250,000 cash prize and a coveted place at the Royal Variety Performance in London later this year.
The emotional result was announced by hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly during the live final at London’s Eventim Apollo. In doing so, the Hawkstone Farmers Choir became the first choir ever to win Britain’s Got Talent, marking a milestone moment in the show’s long-running history.
A Historic Night for Farmers and Rural Communities
The choir narrowly defeated drone display act Celestial, which finished in second place, while dog act Anastasiia and Salsa secured third position. The final featured ten acts competing for the public vote, including singers, magicians, dancers, comedians and specialty performers.
Founded by Jeremy Clarkson in 2024 as part of a campaign promoting his Hawkstone beer and cider brand, the choir has grown far beyond its original purpose. Over the past two years, it has become a symbol of community spirit within Britain’s farming sector.
Following the announcement, choir leader Katrina Hawkstone dedicated the win to farmers across the country.
“We are the first ever choir to have won Britain’s Got Talent. This is for all the farmers out there. For anyone who’s struggling, it’s not a taboo subject, speak up,” she said.
Her comments highlighted an issue that has become increasingly important within rural communities, where mental health challenges and isolation remain major concerns.

Jeremy Clarkson and Supporters Celebrate
Clarkson appeared visibly emotional as the result was revealed, celebrating from the audience while supporters cheered around him. Meanwhile, back at Diddly Squat Farm, Clarkson’s farming co-star Kaleb Cooper watched the final on a giant screen alongside supporters following the choir’s journey.
The result came after a highly competitive final judged by Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and KSI. Ahead of the winner being announced, Cowell admitted he was unable to predict the outcome, telling viewers he had “not got a bloody clue” who would take the crown.
The choir’s victory also overshadowed bookmaker favourite Sonny Green, the Essex poet who entered the final as one of the strongest contenders but ultimately finished sixth.
According to the official Britain’s Got Talent website, winners earn the opportunity to perform before members of the Royal Family at the Royal Variety Performance, making it one of the most prestigious prizes in British entertainment.
