Outside Lands 2026 is officially on the calendar, and the first wave of excitement is coming from a lineup built to cover pop, indie, hip-hop and electronic music in one of America’s most iconic city parks. The San Francisco festival returns to Golden Gate Park on August 7–9, 2026, with a top line led by Charli XCX, Rufus Du Sol and The Strokes.
Headliners set the tone for a big Golden Gate Park weekend
The 2026 edition is anchored by three very different headliners. Charli XCX brings a sharp-edged pop catalogue designed for loud crowds and late-night energy. Rufus Du Sol arrive with stadium-scale electronic production and melodic build-ups that typically define festival peak moments. The Strokes add a major indie-rock return, giving the weekend a headline set that leans into singalong classics and punchy guitar anthems.
A deep undercard spanning indie, hip-hop and electronic
Beyond the headliners, the lineup leans into variety. Indie and alternative fans have plenty to circle, including The xx, Death Cab for Cutie, Lucy Dacus, Ethel Cain, Wet Leg and Modest Mouse. Rock-leaning names such as Turnstile add a heavier edge to the weekend’s programming.
Hip-hop is also well represented, with Baby Keem, GloRilla and reunited duo Clipse among the featured artists. On the electronic side, the bill includes crowd-tested dance and club names such as Lane 8, Boris Brejcha, Boys Noize and Ben Böhmer, alongside a bass-forward collaboration billed as Griztronics (Subtronics + GRiZ).
There’s also a spotlight on crossover acts and fast-rising projects, including Djo (the psychedelic pop project of actor Joe Keery), Empire of the Sun, Labrinth and Mariah the Scientist. Bay Area connections show up too, with local favorites such as The Story So Far on the schedule.
Ticket sales timeline and the starting price
Organizers outlined a staggered on-sale plan with multiple presales ahead of the general release. General ticket sales begin at 12 p.m. PT on Thursday, March 5, and three-day GA passes start at $445 plus fees. SOMA and Grass Lands return as part of the full festival experience
Outside Lands has long been built around more than the main stages. The festival’s open-air dance environment, SOMA, is expected to return with a slate of house and techno-leaning artists, while Grass Lands is also slated to come back as the festival’s cannabis-focused marketplace and programming area.
Food and drink remain a central part of the event’s identity, with Bay Area-forward experiences tied to local restaurants, wine and craft beer culture. The result is a weekend that plays like a full-city celebration, even while it stays anchored inside the park.
Outside Lands 2026 looks built for discovery and big moments
From pop spectacle to indie nostalgia to late-night electronic sets, the 2026 bill is designed to keep crowds moving between styles all weekend. With three major headliners and a wide undercard that cuts across scenes, Outside Lands’ return to Golden Gate Park is shaping up as one of the most varied festival weekends of the summer.
