What Economy Lite excludes

Economy Lite includes permitted carry-on baggage but excludes checked baggage and advance standard seat selection. Cancellations generally result in loss of the fare, while changes can require a fee and any fare difference.

Travellers should calculate baggage and seat costs before comparing airlines. Economy Choice may offer better value for anyone requiring checked luggage or flexibility.

Economy X and Business Class deals

Economy X upgrades start at $12 per person, per sector. They can provide extra legroom, priority benefits and preferred overhead storage where available. The Virgin Australia Economy X guide explains what passengers receive.

Business Class starts at $219 one-way between Sydney and Ballina Byron. Sydney–Perth starts at $899 one-way, while Melbourne–Queenstown starts at $1,245 return.

Before paying, customers should confirm whether the fare is one-way or return, calculate optional charges, review cancellation conditions and check passport, visa, insurance and Hopper package rules.
