BloodHound Q50 Killed at 22: Real Name, Daughter, Family and Net Worth

CHICAGO — BloodHound Q50, the 22-year-old drill rapper born Mikquale Cooper, was killed in a coordinated shooting at a Fuller Park gas station early Sunday, according to local crime-news outlet CWB Chicago.

The identification followed several hours of uncertainty online. Chicago police initially confirmed only that a 22-year-old man had been fatally shot while sitting in the driver’s seat of a vehicle in the 4200 block of South Wentworth Avenue.

CWB Chicago identified the victim as BloodHound Q50, citing a preliminary police report. The outlet reported that six gunmen in two vehicles fired more than 50 shots at Cooper’s white 2019 Tesla at the BP station at 4248 South Wentworth Avenue.

The attackers reportedly escaped in a black Acura sedan and a silver Honda Accord, travelling toward the southbound Dan Ryan Expressway. No arrests or suspected motive had been announced at the time of publication.

ABC7 Chicago separately confirmed that the victim suffered gunshot wounds to his chest and shoulder and died at the scene. Its initial report did not publicly identify him as Cooper.

Who was BloodHound Q50?

Cooper was raised between Chicago and Gary, Indiana, according to a wide-ranging 2025 interview carried by iHeart. He spoke about a difficult childhood, problems at school and a strained relationship with his father. His mother eventually withdrew him from school to prevent his expulsion.

Names and other reliable details about his parents have not been made public. Cooper was, however, a father himself. In December 2025, he released the unusually personal single “Letter to My Daughter” through Signal Records and Columbia. Official song credits list Mi’kquale Cooper as one of its writers.

Another important member of his family was fellow rapper BloodHound Lil Jeff, whom Cooper publicly described as his cousin. The two became close as they grew older and recorded songs together before Lil Jeff was fatally shot in Chicago in June 2024. Cooper later said that loss pushed him to take music more seriously.

Q50’s career moved quickly. He began recording around 2023 and gained attention through songs including “Splash Bros,” “Triple 3,” “BH4L” and “Make It Far.” His 2025 debut album, Long Live My Brudda He Prolly Kilt Yo Brudda, was released by Signal Records under an exclusive licence from Grade A Productions.

His latest nine-track album, Get Back Or Die Trying, arrived on August 6, 2026—just over a month before his death. Its Apple Music listing names Signal Records and Grade A Productions in the release information.

BloodHound Q50’s net worth and public reaction

Q50’s exact net worth was never disclosed. Online biography sites give conflicting estimates ranging from tens of thousands of dollars to more than $1 million, but none provides financial records supporting those figures.

Music-data website Popnable estimated his career earnings from publicly available music information at between approximately $86,400 and $114,200. The website itself warns that this is an approximation and may not reflect his actual income, assets, expenses or record-label obligations. It should therefore not be treated as a verified net-worth figure.

News of Cooper’s death brought an immediate reaction from the drill community. Rolling Loud and DJ Vlad were among the music accounts that posted tributes, according to HotNewHipHop. Fans also filled social-media posts with brief messages including “RIP Q50” and “Long Live Q50.”

No detailed statement from Cooper’s family had been released publicly. Chicago police continue to investigate the homicide and have not identified the attackers or disclosed what may have led to the ambush.
