When Does Dunkin’ Pumpkin Spice Return in 2026? August 19 Date Confirmed

When Does Dunkin’ Pumpkin Spice Return in 2026? August 19 Date Confirmed

Pumpkin season will begin at Dunkin’ on August 19, 2026, but customers should not expect every fall product to be available automatically.

The date is confirmed. The complete menu is not. Dunkin’ announced the return of pumpkin on Instagram on August 2 without revealing the full drink list, bakery selection, prices or how long the promotion will run.

Two dates pumpkin fans should know

  • August 19: Pumpkin returns to Dunkin’.
  • August 25: Starbucks launches its 2026 fall menu.

Dunkin’ therefore enters the national pumpkin-spice season six days before Starbucks. Both launches arrive well before the official start of fall on September 22.

The early timing is familiar. Dunkin’ launched its 2025 fall menu on the third Wednesday of August, while its 2024 seasonal products arrived on August 28.

What Dunkin’ has confirmed—and what it has not

Dunkin’ has confirmed that pumpkin will return on Wednesday, August 19. It has not yet published a complete 2026 fall menu or identified every participating product.

The company has also not announced national prices, app-exclusive offers, the promotion’s final date or whether all restaurants will carry the same selection. Prices and availability can vary because Dunkin’ locations are largely operated by franchisees.

Customers planning a visit should check the Dunkin’ app or contact their local restaurant closer to launch day. A national release date does not guarantee that every seasonal item will be available at every location.

The drink most customers are expecting

Dunkin’s Pumpkin Spice Signature Latte is normally offered hot or iced. It combines espresso and milk with sweet pumpkin, vanilla and warm spice flavors. The usual topping includes whipped cream, caramel drizzle and cinnamon sugar.

The chain’s pumpkin flavor swirl is another seasonal option. It can typically be added to hot coffee, iced coffee and compatible espresso drinks, allowing customers to keep their regular order while adding pumpkin flavor.

Dunkin’ introduced the seasonal pumpkin swirl in 2007. Pumpkin has since appeared in cold brew, chai and frozen beverages, but those versions remain unconfirmed for 2026.

Will pumpkin donuts and muffins return?

Dunkin’ has previously paired its drinks with Pumpkin Donuts, Pumpkin MUNCHKINS Donut Hole Treats and Pumpkin Muffins. None of those bakery products has been confirmed as part of the August 19 announcement.

The full fall menu could arrive on the same day because Dunkin’ has followed that approach in previous years. Until an official lineup is released, however, returning food items should be described as possible rather than guaranteed.

The company frequently changes its limited-time selection between seasons. Its summer 2026 drinks and bakery lineup, for example, used fruit flavors, colorful cold foam and themed products that may leave as the fall campaign begins.

Why pumpkin arrives during summer

Late-August launches allow coffee chains to move customers from summer refreshers into drinks associated with school routines, cooler weather and the approaching holiday period.

Iced pumpkin drinks also make the timing practical in warmer states. Customers can order a seasonal flavor without switching immediately to a hot beverage.

Short availability windows create urgency around these launches. Dunkin’ recently used a similar participating-location model for its Parke tumbler promotion, where customers were advised to confirm local stock before ordering.

How Starbucks’ fall menu compares

Starbucks has now confirmed that its Pumpkin Spice Latte will return on August 25. Reports published earlier on August 3 described the date as pending, but Starbucks subsequently released its official menu information.

The Starbucks 2026 fall announcement confirms the return of Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, Pumpkin Spice Chai, Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai and Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino.

Its new drinks include Iced Pumpkin Cream Shaken Espresso, Iced Pumpkin Cream Matcha and Chaider, a cider-inspired chai available hot or iced. Starbucks will also bring back the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin and introduce additional pecan and banana bread-inspired beverages.

Spidey D is a separate Halloween question

Dunkin’ fans are also watching for ā€œSpidey D,ā€ the social-media character inspired by its seasonal Spider Donut. Dunkin’ has not confirmed the character or donut for 2026.

Spidey D has historically appeared closer to October, so its absence from the August pumpkin announcement is not necessarily unusual. Any return should be treated as a separate Halloween promotion unless Dunkin’ says otherwise.

Check ingredients before customizing

Customers with allergies or dietary restrictions should consult current ingredient information after the menu is released. Pumpkin flavor does not necessarily mean a product contains pumpkin purƩe, while choosing oat milk or another alternative does not automatically make a drink dairy-free.

Whipped cream, cold foam and other toppings may contain milk ingredients. Customers should also expect prices to vary by size, customization, location and ordering method.

For now, August 19 is the firm Dunkin’ date. The exact drinks, bakery products, prices and final day of availability remain unannounced.
