Kyle King claims fourth title and third straight victory
King, an active-duty Marine from Northern Virginia, added the 2026 title to victories in 2022, 2024 and 2025, according to NBC Washingtonâs race coverage.
But returning as the defending champion has not made the occasion feel easier. Speaking to NBC after the race, King said: âIâd say it gets harder each time.â He added: âThe pressureâs always there.â
His latest winning margin left a clear gap at the front of the menâs standings. Soltys secured second place, finishing 1 minute, 18 seconds ahead of Reimann. Lucas Stalnaker placed fourth in 2:24:14, followed by Jordan Smith in 2:24:41.
