GTA 6 Release Date Confirmed

GTA 6 Release Date Confirmed: 10 Biggest Games Coming Before November 19

GTA 6 now has a November 19, 2026 release date, giving players a firm target at the end of a packed autumn gaming calendar. Before Rockstar’s return to Vice City, September and October will bring major releases including Marvel’s Wolverine, Silent Hill: Townfall and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.

For PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Switch 2 players, the bigger story is how tightly these launches are clustered. Several anticipated games arrive only days apart, potentially making September the toughest month for deciding what to play first.

GTA 6 — KEY DETAILS

Release: November 19, 2026

Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X|S

Characters: Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos

Setting: Vice City and Leonida

PC: No official release date announced

GTA 6 remains on track after the latest leaks

Rockstar continues to list November 19 on its official GTA VI page, with PS5 and Xbox Series X|S confirmed for launch. A PC date has not been announced.

The confirmation is particularly important after unauthorized GTA VI gameplay footage and images circulated online in August. Rockstar described the leak as heartbreaking for its team but did not announce another delay.

Players have since received a more substantial official look at the game through the GTA 6 Extended Look, increasing attention on Jason and Lucia’s crime story ahead of launch.

September opens with samurai action and an unusual puzzler

September 4 — Onimusha: Way of the Sword: Capcom revives its supernatural samurai series with Miyamoto Musashi fighting human and demonic enemies in Edo-period Kyoto. The supplied schedule lists PC, PS5, Switch 2 and Xbox.

September 10 — Screenbound: Players simultaneously navigate a 3D environment and a 2D world displayed on an in-game handheld console. Actions in one affect the other, creating an unusual platforming and puzzle system.

Screenbound also appears in the Xbox Game Pass September 2026 lineup, giving subscribers another option during the busy month.

Wolverine and Fire Emblem arrive two days apart

September 15 — Marvel’s Wolverine: Insomniac Games moves from Spider-Man to Logan for a darker PS5 action adventure. The story takes Wolverine across multiple locations as he attempts to protect vulnerable mutants.

September 17 — Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave: Nintendo’s tactical RPG series returns on Switch 2. Contestants gather in Dagsion for a competition where the winner is promised a single wish, with battles and character relationships driving the story.

September 24 brings a horror-versus-sci-fi showdown

Silent Hill: Townfall takes the psychological horror franchise to Scotland. Simon Ordell returns to an apparently abandoned harbour town without remembering the catastrophe that occurred there. It is listed for PC and PS5.

Control Resonant arrives the same day. Remedy’s follow-up introduces a new protagonist, supernatural powers and a stronger RPG direction, with a reality-distorted Manhattan providing the setting.

October brings Ratatan and Call of Duty

October 15 — Ratatan: Patapon creator Hiroyuki Kotani combines rhythm mechanics, platforming and combat in a colourful adventure where music becomes a weapon and cooperative players can combine their attacks.

October 23 — Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4: The blockbuster shooter returns with Captain Price and a campaign involving conflict on the Korean Peninsula. Multiplayer remains a major part of the package, with the supplied schedule listing PC, PS5, Switch 2 and Xbox.

Then comes GTA 6 on November 19

GTA VI follows Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos across Leonida, Rockstar’s fictional take on Florida. After a job goes wrong, the pair become caught in a wider criminal conspiracy and must rely on each other to survive.

The game returns to Vice City while expanding into a much broader region. Despite continued speculation about PC, Rockstar currently confirms only PS5 and Xbox Series X|S for November 19.

One more autumn game still has no date

There Are No Ghosts at the Grand follows Chris David after he inherits an ageing English hotel. Days are spent renovating the building, while nights involve dealing with ghosts, puzzles and secrets hidden inside the property.

It is planned for PC and Xbox, but its release remains TBC. That means it cannot yet be described as definitely launching before GTA VI.

Why this release calendar matters

Eight of these games currently have dates before GTA VI, and the pressure is concentrated in September. Wolverine, Fire Emblem, Silent Hill and Control Resonant all arrive within a nine-day period.

October offers little breathing room before Modern Warfare 4 launches on October 23, leaving less than four weeks before GTA VI. Release dates can still change, but for now players face an unusually crowded road to November 19.
