Oreo has released three new limited-edition cookies across the U.S., giving shoppers a choice between Banana Pudding, Deep Fried and Chicken & Waffles.
The three flavors begin rolling out to grocery and retail stores nationwide on Monday, August 24, 2026. They will be available for a limited time while supplies last, and consumers will ultimately decide which flavor returns nationwide in 2027.
Limited quantities were available earlier through an Oreo presale and SnackWorks’ TikTok Shop beginning August 17. August 24 marks the start of the broader retail rollout.
What are the three new Oreo flavors?
Each release goes beyond simply changing the creme inside a traditional Oreo.
Banana Pudding Oreo: Vanilla wafer cookies surround dual layers of sweet banana and vanilla-pudding creme. Oreo’s published ingredient information also lists banana puree.
Deep Fried Oreo: Despite the name, this is not a regular Oreo that has been deep-fried. Fried-dough-flavored cookies surround layers of dark chocolate and fried-dough-flavored creme, creating a flavor inspired by fried fairground desserts.
Chicken & Waffles Oreo: The most unconventional variety features a waffle-style texture and embossment with sweet and savory notes designed to evoke fried chicken and maple syrup.
Does Chicken & Waffles Oreo contain real chicken?
Chicken meat is not listed in Oreo’s published ingredient information for Chicken & Waffles.
Instead, the flavor profile uses a combination of seasonings and flavorings. The ingredient list includes brown sugar, black pepper, celery, cinnamon, molasses, paprika, yeast extract and natural smoke flavor.
Oreo’s current product information lists wheat and soy among the declared allergens for all three varieties. Consumers with allergies or dietary restrictions should check the package label before eating.
The launch comes as food brands experiment with sweet-and-savory combinations. Consumers interested in similar flavors can see what is included in Chick-fil-A’s Chicken & Waffles launch, which also begins August 24.
Where can you buy the new Oreo flavors?
Oreo says Banana Pudding, Deep Fried and Chicken & Waffles begin arriving at grocery and retail stores across the United States on August 24.
The company has not guaranteed that every individual store will receive every flavor immediately, so availability can vary by retailer and location. The cookies are limited editions sold while supplies last, and Oreo has not announced one nationwide date when they will leave shelves.
Consumers can check Oreo’s official Twist, Lick, Vote page for current campaign and voting details.
Limited-time launches are arriving across the food and beverage industry as summer winds down. Dunkin’ has already started its seasonal transition, with Dunkin’ Pumpkin Spice returning for 2026 on August 19.

How do you vote for your favorite Oreo?
The release is part of Oreo’s Twist, Lick, Vote campaign, which lets consumers determine which of the three cookies gets another limited-time nationwide release.
Voting opened August 17 and continues through October 12, 2026. Customers can vote by scanning the QR code on any of the three limited-edition packs or visiting Oreo’s voting website.
Oreo plans to announce the winning flavor on October 13. That cookie will return to the nationwide Oreo lineup for a limited time in 2027. The company has not promised that the other two flavors will return.
Can voters win a year’s supply of Oreos?
Eligible votes also provide entry into a sweepstakes for a chance to win a year’s supply of Original Oreo cookies.
The promotion is open to legal residents of the 50 U.S. states and Washington, D.C., who are at least 18 years old. No purchase is necessary, and there is a limit of one sweepstakes entry per person. Voting closes at 11:59 p.m. ET on October 12.
Oreo says the flavor selected by a voter does not affect the person’s sweepstakes entry.
The company defines the year’s-supply prize as 10 packages of 13.29-ounce Original Oreo cookies delivered every three months for 12 months, totaling 40 packages across four shipments.
How long will the new Oreos be available?
Oreo has not announced a fixed nationwide end date. Banana Pudding, Deep Fried and Chicken & Waffles are available for a limited time while supplies last, meaning individual stores could sell out before the voting period ends.
For shoppers, there are three dates to remember: August 24 for the broader store launch, October 12 for the end of voting and October 13 for the announcement of the winning flavor.
Only one of the three is currently guaranteed another appearance. Whichever cookie wins the consumer vote will return nationwide for a limited run in 2027.
