Phoebe Bridgers has confirmed that her third solo studio album, Lost Weekend, will be released on August 14 through independent label Dead Oceans. The announcement brings an end to a six-year gap since Punisher and comes with confirmation of a major arena tour across North America and Europe later this year.
The singer-songwriter had been building anticipation by performing previously unheard songs during recent live appearances. Interest grew further after her phone-free Madison Square Garden concert featuring new material, leading many fans to expect an album announcement.
Alongside the release date, Bridgers revealed tour plans that quickly generated strong demand. Many scheduled arena shows sold out shortly after tickets became available, reflecting her continued rise from acclaimed indie artist to one of alternative music’s biggest live performers.
A New Solo Chapter After Six Years
Lost Weekend is Bridgers’ first solo album since Punisher, released in 2020. That record earned widespread critical recognition, multiple Grammy nominations and helped establish her as one of the defining voices in contemporary indie rock.
During the years that followed, Bridgers focused much of her creative work on Boygenius, the trio formed with Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus. Their 2023 debut album became one of the year’s standout releases and was followed by major success at the 2024 Grammy Awards.
Bridgers collected four Grammy Awards that year, including three through Boygenius and another for her collaboration with SZA on Ghost in the Machine. The new album marks her return to solo songwriting after that successful period.

Production Team and Album Details
Bridgers has not yet released the complete tracklist or confirmed the lead single. However, reports indicate that producer Jack Antonoff, known for his work with artists including Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey and Lorde, contributed to the project.
Singer-songwriter Alex G has also been linked to the album and is scheduled to join Bridgers as the opening act during the North American tour. Official production credits are expected to be released closer to the album launch.
The album artwork has already been unveiled, while additional information about the songs is expected in the weeks leading up to the August release.
Large Arena Tour Sees Strong Ticket Demand
The accompanying Lost Tour begins in September with two performances in Indianapolis before visiting major venues across the United States and Canada. Stops include Chicago, Brooklyn, Toronto, Boston, Nashville, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Demand has been exceptionally high. Most North American dates sold out shortly after public ticket sales opened, with additional shows added in selected cities to help meet demand.
The European leg starts in Dublin during November before continuing through Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham, London, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, DĂŒsseldorf, Berlin, Copenhagen and Stockholm.
Organisers upgraded the planned DĂŒsseldorf performance to the larger PSD Bank Dome after initial tickets sold out quickly. At the latest update, only a small number of European dates continued to show limited availability.
Alex G will appear throughout the North American shows, while Isaac Wood and AnaĂŻs are scheduled to support Bridgers on the European dates.
Why This Release Matters
The announcement highlights how much Bridgers’ career has expanded since Punisher. She has moved from performing in smaller theatres to selling out major arenas while maintaining a reputation for emotionally driven songwriting and carefully crafted live performances.
For the wider alternative music scene, Lost Weekend is one of the most closely watched releases of 2026 because it follows both the commercial breakthrough of Boygenius and Bridgers’ recent Grammy success.
Attention will now turn to the first official single, the complete tracklist and the album’s reception after release. Those details are expected before August 14, when Lost Weekend becomes available worldwide.
Official updates about the album, tour and future releases are available through Dead Oceans.
