Qantas has launched a major international sale featuring more than 400,000 discounted seats to over 30 destinations, with Economy fares starting at $359. The week-long promotion covers New Zealand, Asia, the Pacific, North and South America, Europe and South Africa.
The Qantas International Red Tail Sale ends at 11:59pm AEST on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, unless its allocated fares sell out earlier. Travel periods vary by route and extend through June 30, 2027, with blackout dates and day-of-week restrictions applying.
Qantas international sale fares and routes
The entry-level offer is a one-way Economy fare to Auckland from $359, available from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Popular return Economy deals include:
- Port Vila and Nouméa: from $649
- Bali: from $699 from Sydney or Melbourne
- Bali from Adelaide: from $759 via Sydney
- Singapore: from $879
- Los Angeles: from $999
- Tokyo Narita: from $1,249
- Vancouver: from $1,399
- New York: from $1,499
- Santiago: from $1,799
- London: from $1,899
Premium Economy, Business and First Class seats are included on eligible services. At the premium end, Sydney–London First Class fares start from $15,999 return. Prices are in Australian dollars and can differ by departure city, itinerary and remaining inventory.
Sydney to Las Vegas nonstop fares discounted
For the first time, sale fares are available on Qantas’ planned nonstop Sydney–Las Vegas service, with Economy return tickets from $1,199. The seasonal route is scheduled to operate three times weekly on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays from December 29, 2026 to March 12, 2027, subject to government and regulatory approval.
Qantas is set to become the first airline to fly nonstop between Australia and Las Vegas. Avoiding a connection through another US airport could reduce total journey time by up to five hours.
Las Vegas sale dates are narrower than the full operating season. Eligible Economy periods currently include January 19 to February 19 and February 28 to March 12, 2027. Travellers should confirm the dates displayed during booking before arranging hotels or activities.
What the advertised fares include
Qantas says checked baggage and complimentary food and beverages are included. This distinction matters when comparing the total cost with airlines that charge separately for baggage, meals or seat-related extras.
Customers can review destination-specific travel windows and conditions on the official Qantas International Red Tail Sale page. Fares may not appear on every flight, and schedules can change.
How the sale fits Qantas’ wider strategy
The international campaign follows a separate Qantas domestic sale with two million seats from $99. The new offer has fewer seats but a much broader geographical reach, ranging from short trans-Tasman trips to long-haul journeys across the Americas and Europe.
It also arrives after the airline announced domestic capacity reductions amid higher fuel costs. Targeted international discounts allow Qantas to encourage advance bookings on selected routes without reducing prices across its entire schedule.

What travellers should check before booking
A headline fare does not automatically represent the best overall deal. Passengers should compare departure airports, connection times, payment charges, baggage allowances and ticket-change conditions before paying.
Passport validity, visa rules and official destination advice should be checked before making non-refundable arrangements. Travel insurance may help with certain disruptions, but its exclusions and coverage limits need to be reviewed separately.
When does the Qantas sale end?
The booking deadline is 11:59pm AEST on August 4, 2026, unless eligible seats sell out first. Travellers with fixed schedules may need to act earlier, while flexible customers can compare nearby departure dates to improve their chances of finding the advertised fare.
