The event will bring thousands of runners through downtown, Biscayne Bay, Miami Beach and surrounding neighborhoods, with traffic impacts expected from early morning through early afternoon.
According to officials, road closures will be in place from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 25, 2026. Motorists are urged to allow extra travel time, follow posted detours, and avoid marathon routes where possible.
Traffic advisory: Police officers and traffic control personnel from the City of Miami, Miami Beach, and Miami-Dade Police Departments will be deployed throughout the route to manage traffic flow and ensure public safety.
The marathon and half marathon will begin at 6:00 AM in downtown Miami near the FTX Arena area and proceed through Miami Beach via the Venetian Causeway, returning toward downtown before concluding near Biscayne Boulevard.
Officials recommend using the Julia Tuttle Causeway for access to and from Miami Beach between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM. The Port of Miami will remain open, with access available via NE 5th Street.
