Tekken 8 has confirmed Yujiro Hanma as the final Season 3 DLC fighter, giving Bandai Namco one of its most unexpected crossover reveals so far. The character, best known from Baki the Grappler, is planned for release in early 2027 and will arrive after Kunimitsu, Bob and Roger Jr.
The announcement stands out because Yujiro is not a normal guest pick. He is Baki Hanma’s father, the main force of fear in the long-running Baki manga and anime series, and a fighter written almost like a final boss. Grappler Baki began in 1991, and Yujiro has remained one of the franchise’s most recognisable figures because of his brutal strength, cruel personality and almost impossible physical ability.
That background makes him a natural fit for Tekken 8. Tekken has always mixed martial arts with family conflict, extreme power and larger-than-life rivalries. Yujiro’s story is also built around a violent father-son conflict, which gives his arrival more weight than a simple guest appearance.
Season 3 now has a clear release path. Kunimitsu is set for early access on May 27, 2026, before her full release on June 1, 2026. Bob is expected in summer 2026, Roger Jr. is planned for autumn 2026, and Yujiro Hanma will close the season in early 2027.
Bandai Namco has not yet shown Yujiro’s full gameplay style, but expectations are already high. Fans are looking for heavy grabs, punishing close-range attacks, aggressive pressure and visual references to his famous “Demon Back” from Baki. His design will also be closely watched because Baki is known for exaggerated muscles, intense facial expressions and a rough visual style that could look striking inside Tekken’s modern 3D engine.

The move also continues Tekken’s history of unusual guest fighters. Earlier entries brought in characters such as Negan from The Walking Dead and Geese Howard from Fatal Fury, while Tekken 8 already added Clive Rosfield from Final Fantasy XVI. Even compared with those names, Yujiro feels like a more surprising choice because he comes from a martial arts anime world that already shares Tekken’s obsession with power, pride and physical dominance.
According to the official Bandai Namco Tekken 8 page, the game is built as a new-generation entry in the fighting franchise across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Yujiro’s arrival gives the game another major talking point as it moves deeper into post-launch content.

Yujiro Hanma’s reveal works because it is bold, strange and still believable inside Tekken’s world. He brings anime history, fighting credibility and shock value at the same time. For a season finale character, Bandai Namco could hardly have picked someone louder.
