NFL All-Pro Team 2025: Stafford Tops Elite QB Field After Career Year

The 2025 NFL All-Pro Team has been officially announced, delivering one of the most compelling storylines of the season: Matthew Stafford earning first-team All-Pro quarterback honors for the first time in his 17-year NFL career.

The selections, voted on by media members across the United States and published by the Associated Press, highlighted a year defined by elite quarterback play, historic defensive performances, and the emergence of new stars.

Stafford’s Career-Defining Season

At age 37, Stafford received 31 first-place votes from AP voters, narrowly defeating Drake Maye, who earned 18. The selection makes Stafford only the second player in NFL history to earn his first All-Pro nod in his 17th season or later.

Stafford led the league with 4,707 passing yards and 46 touchdown passes, guiding one of the NFL’s most explosive offenses. His 109.2 passer rating ranked second among all quarterbacks during the regular season.

“I didn’t see this coming,” Stafford said after hearing the news. “I’ve played a lot of years and have tremendous respect for this game and the guys who play it.”

Drake Maye’s Rise Still Earns Recognition

Although Stafford claimed the top quarterback spot, Drake Maye’s second-team All-Pro selection reflected one of the league’s most impressive breakout campaigns. In just his second professional season, Maye started all 17 games and emerged as the cornerstone of the New England Patriots.

Maye completed 72% of his passes, the highest mark in the NFL, while throwing for 4,394 yards, 31 touchdowns, and only eight interceptions. He also led the league in multiple efficiency metrics, including yards per attempt and completion percentage above expectation.

Maye’s rapid ascent mirrors the growing trend of quarterbacks transitioning quickly from dominant college football careers into immediate NFL impact, reshaping how teams evaluate and develop young passers.

Marcus Jones Delivers on Special Teams

New England also earned recognition on special teams, with Marcus Jones named a second-team All-Pro punt returner. Jones remained one of the league’s most dangerous return specialists, returning 21 punts for 363 yards and scoring two touchdowns.

His average of 17.3 yards per return consistently flipped field position and provided a spark throughout the Patriots’ season.

Unanimous Selections Highlight League’s Elite

The 2025 All-Pro team featured several unanimous first-team selections, led by edge rusher Myles Garrett. Garrett delivered a historic campaign, breaking the NFL’s single-season sack record with 23 sacks.

He was joined by standout offensive players including wide receivers Puka Nacua and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, along with running back Bijan Robinson. Their selections reflected both consistency and game-changing impact across the regular season.

Broncos Lead All-Pro Representation

The Denver Broncos, the AFC’s top seed, led all franchises with four first-team All-Pro selections. Several players across the league earned repeat honors, while 18 first-time All-Pros highlighted the NFL’s next wave of talent.

A Snapshot of the NFL in Transition

From Stafford’s long-awaited breakthrough to Maye’s rapid ascent, the 2025 NFL All-Pro Team captures a league balancing experience and youth. It celebrates veteran excellence while offering a glimpse at the stars shaping the NFL’s future.

As the postseason unfolds, these selections serve as a reminder that elite performance still defines the league—sometimes even after 17 seasons of waiting.
