Raising Cane’s will donate $1 for every Box Combo purchased at its U.S. restaurants on July 27 to Kickstart Kids, the youth development nonprofit founded by martial artist and actor Chuck Norris.
Kickstart Kids uses martial arts and character education to help students develop confidence, discipline and leadership skills. The campaign honors Norris’ legacy while supporting the continuation of those programs.
According to the official National Chicken Finger Day campaign, Raising Cane’s has committed at least $500,000 and up to $1 million. Net proceeds from selected merchandise ordered by July 29 will also count toward the fundraiser. Customer purchases are not tax-deductible.
How National Chicken Finger Day began
Raising Cane’s founder Todd Graves created National Chicken Finger Day in 2010 to celebrate the chain’s main menu item. Raising Cane’s obtained trademark status for the holiday’s name in 2019.
The company says it has given away more than one million chicken fingers during previous celebrations. It now operates more than 900 restaurants across over 40 states.
