A large grass and gorse fire near West Beach Caravan Park in Hopeman, Moray, left hundreds of properties without electricity and sent thick smoke across the coastal village after breaking out on Tuesday afternoon.
Firefighters were alerted at about 4.33pm on August 25 after reports of vegetation burning close to West Beach. Six fire appliances, a wildfire unit and specialist resources were deployed as crews tackled a fire estimated at roughly 250 metres by 100 metres.
