World Vegetarian Day 1st October 2020

Every year On 1 October the World Vegetarian Day is celebrated across the globe. It is a day to celebrate the joy, compassion and life-enhancing possibilities of vegetarianism that the North American Vegetarian Society founded in 1977 and endorsed by the International Vegetarian Union in 1978, which raises awareness of the legal, environmental, medical and humanistic benefits of vegan living.

This day is celebrated to build awareness about the benefits of vegetarian lifestyle and inspire others to become vegetarian. A vegetarian is one that doesn’t eat meat and has fruit and vegetables diet mostly foodstuffs from plants. Many people are seeking vegetarian and plant-based diets these days because they provide a wide range of health benefits, including weight loss. Several studies indicate that it may help in minimizing the risk of heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, bad cholesterol and some cancers by eating a vegetarian diet. But regarding a vegetarian diet, there are many misconceptions.

The month of October begins with World Vegetarian Day as Vegetarian Awareness Month, ending with November 1, World Vegan Day, as the end of the month of celebration. The Month of Vegetarian Awareness was widely known to be “Reverence for Life” and more .

The vegetarian diet is tasteless and lacks in variety: as much as anything else, vegetarians love their food.
