World Vegetarian Day 1st October 2020
Every year On 1 October the World Vegetarian Day is celebrated across the globe. It is a day to celebrate the joy, compassion and life-enhancing possibilities of vegetarianism that the North American Vegetarian Society founded in 1977 and endorsed by the International Vegetarian Union in 1978, which raises awareness of the legal, environmental, medical and humanistic benefits of vegan living.
This day is celebrated to build awareness about the benefits of vegetarian lifestyle and inspire others to become vegetarian. A vegetarian is one that doesn’t eat meat and has fruit and vegetables diet mostly foodstuffs from plants. Many people are seeking vegetarian and plant-based diets these days because they provide a wide range of health benefits, including weight loss.
