Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2020-Winners and their Achievements

On the Occasion of Republic Day every year the Government of India gives awards to the children for their remarkable achievements. The awards will be given to the children who extraordinary in innovation, sports, scholastic, arts, culture, social service, and many other fields. The awards will be given on 22nd January at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi and the winners will be invited on 26 January Republic Day Parade. Now the Government has introduced new two awards in
the category of Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar i.e:

  • Bal
    Shakti Puraskar ( Earlier Known as National Child Award)
  • Bal
    Kalyan Puraskar ( Earlier known as National Child Welfare Award)

Each awardee will be given a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000/-, medal, certificate, citation and Rs. 10,000/- book vouchers.

Let’s go through the list of winners and achievements of Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2020:-

R. Venkatasubramanian:

16-year-old Class 11 student of Kendriya Vidyalaya in Puducherry has been selected for the Rashtriya Bal Sakti Puraskar award for 2020 under the Scholastic category. He was born with a congenital left limb problem despite being differently-abled he is a multitalented commerce student. He is excelled in several fields including sports, academics and music also won the gold medals in all the levels. Venkatsubramanian got trained in yoga, karate, and keyboard. Currently, he is training for badminton and his dream is to participate in Paralympics.

Parikul Bharadwaj:

A 13-year-old nine class girl of Delhi cant school Parikul is going to be honored with Bal Sakti Puraskar in innovative category for the Lifesaving activities in the Himalayas. She is working for the past three years and the only girl who is helping to save other life at Himalayan peaks in minor age. At the height of 14000ft every year for 45 days she helps the pilgrims of Kedarnath yatra by serving her duty to the helpless and sick pilgrims.

Riya Jain:

A 16-year-old Riya Jain student of St. Joseph Co-ed School Bhopal will be honored with Bal Sakti Puraskar 2020 in art and culture category. She has won 8 international, 20 national and over 150 awards in painting, writing, speaking and many more. Riya has been an outstanding student at the district level to the international level in the painting, essay writing, elocution, and karate. For the past three consecutive years, she has been the winner of the international Picasso Art contest.

Akula Sai Samhitha:

A class 10th Student of Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, Visakhapatnam, has been selected for the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2020 in the sports category. In 2018 She won the gold medal in the Artistic Skating category at the 18th Asian Roller-Skating Championship held at Namwon, South Korea. Till now she has won over 65 medals in roller skating awards.

Aarushi Sharma:

A 14-year-old daughter of Meerut Aarushi Sharma has been selected for the Pradhan Mantri Bal Shakti Puraskar 2020 in the sports category. Despite not able to speak by birth she has proved herself by winning national and international awards for badminton. In the last five years, she has won more than 20 medals at the national and international levels of badminton competitions.

Vinayak Bahadur:

Another shuttler player from Meerut Vinayak Bahadur is a class 8th student of Shanti Niketan School Meerut, selected for Pradhan Mantri Bal Shakti Puraskar 2020. Vinayak is a badminton player and despite being not able to speak he has received four national-level gold medals, three silver medals, one bronze medal and 10 state-level gold medals, nine silver medals, three bronze medals in badminton




Murji Sunitha Prabhu:

The Mangaluru girl Murji Sunitha Prabhu of Belthangady has been chosen for the Prime Minister Rashtriya Bal Sakti Puraskar 2020 in the scholastic category for the recognition of her in Phoenix achievement. In 2019 she represented India in the 80th Science and Technology Fair which was held at Phoenix, USA. Murji Sunitha is an II PUC student and received training at CFAL Institute, Mangluru.

Sukriti Chirpal:

An 18-year student Sukriti Chirpal from Modern High School, West Bengal is a social change agent who has started NGO Sangam will receive Bal Shakti Puraskar 2020. She has brought education in the lives of street and underprivileged kids. She also led many green campaigns and was the Earth Ambassador under the program of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Sukirti has organized more than 100 Students volunteers through different social media who coordinate and collect books for the Underprivileged kids.
