World Students Day 15th October 2022 Theme (Birth anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam)
Every year October 15th is celebrated as World Students’ Day which commemorates the birthday of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, former President of India. On 15 October 2010, the United Nations declared World Student Day. The World Student Day is celebrated to honour Dr APJ’s Abdul Kalam, who was not only of the former President of India but also a scholar, teacher and author. He was Popularly known as “Missile Man of India”. He served the country as the President of India from 2002 to 2007.
Several educational institutions in the country celebrate the birthday of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam in imaginative ways because of his affection for students. On 15 October 2010, when he was 79 years old, the UN announced World Student Day.
In addition to being a politician and an aerospace scientist, Kalam was also a teacher. As a teacher, he wanted the world to remember him. On July 27, 2015, Kalam died doing what he loved-teaching. During his lecture at IIM Shillong, he suffered from stoke and fell down at the stage.
