About benefits of Coconut

For thousands of years, coconut has been used by humans as a source of food and construction materials and has over the years become one of the main oil suppliers.

Coconut is a dry dupe which is a fibrous one-seeded drupe. It can be referred to as whole coconut palm or the seed or fruit rather than a nut.

Coconut benefits our bodies because they are rich in fiber, vitamins B6, iron, and minerals like magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, selenium, and zinc, as well as because of their antiviral and antimicrobial properties. As an oil, the MCTs in it offers an optimal alternative to other oils and fats since the body is not fat-consuming them. In addition to the use, coconut also allows for other purposes, such as hard coal and fiber coir, used for the manufacture of mattresses, doormats, etc.

Without human being transportation, coconut trees cannot be grown away from the sea. Apart from India ancient coconut fossils were found in Australia and Columbia apart from India. Coconut is in the coat of arms of the nation in the Maldives, and it is the national tree of the country.

Because of the efforts made by national governments in the past years to encourage the planting of hybrid coconut that produces greater quantities of dried copra, the traditional coconut species are threatened with extinction.
